So you like it when a game is revealed 5+ years before you can play it. This was revealed before TW3 was revealed and theres no new information since 2013. I dont mind long dev cycles i just dont like it when a dev reveals a game that hasnt even started production or releases a game like PT only to realize the game got cancelled, even tho a lot of awesome games are taking inspiration from it.
I would love to see Halo 6 that blows the graphics of UC4. But my main time would be on console because after a hard day of work the couch or recliner is more comfortable. But I would play the PC version just to marvel at the beauty, there'd no denying that 343 has great graphic designers even if halo 5 had graphic flaws it was hidden under a beautiful art style.
What I want to see more often is actual levels that are more open. Games like GTA and AC are fine the way they are and it might be interesting for a spin off halo or splinter cell to go full open world, what I mainly look forward to in a game is 12 to 20 environments that look and feel different from another that Also offer different ways to complete the objective. Certain levels in killzone shadow fall and Halo do it and Splinter cell to a certain degree has it as well.

Why is it hard for devs to find a balance these days. In the PS2 and PS3 generation it wasnt hard for GR and RB6 to have good singleplayer and good multiplayer. Sure they might not have been the best singleplayer games of the time but they were more than good enough to stand on their own. I'm hoping GR doesnt get rid of a traditional campaign mode. There might be people complaining about Titanfall 2 having a story mode and that the multiplayer will only be a small improvement, but what ar...
Where were you during the PS2 generation, lol. Nothing from Naughty Dog or Santa Monica could compete with even the multiplat games like Splinter Cell, the exclusives looked even better. The ps2 did have good looking games but they were more stylized not technical. Forza and Project Gotham looked better than GT4.

Was it really still 500 after 2years. Besides Sony is still a much more marketable than Microsoft in the console arena. The same reason the iphone is much more popular than a galaxy, having a whole generation of fans with only minty as a competitor is a difference maker. If micro had a console to compete with ps1 it would be split more evenly. The fact that the Xbox one is on par with PS 3 in sales means xbox is far from being considered a failure.
It is certainly disappointing when a game that uses Tom Clancy's name doesnt have a storymode. If they made a game that had some elements of RB6 and just changed the name it wouldnt be a big deal that it came out to be, and them showing a singleplayer mode a few years back and canceling it, doesnt help. There should be a rule where if a AAA developer cant wait until the game is past the concept stage then why bother to show it, I understand small studios need funding so thats why they do...
At first I was wondering where the screenshots of the Halo 5 map were and then I looked at the background. Its really cool how he made it look like the 64 version.
Certain exclusives on both systems are on par with each other this year, and one system is doing something that the other one hasnt shown its capable of yet.
The game looks better than last years version,and people with certain PCs can get closer to the reveal render. This is still considered one of the best looking games.

Yeah, playing pirates on sandtrap was so much fun in halo 3, along with all the other fun and wackybgametypes. Halo 5s foge has much more potential than 3s but its game types feel very limited, and feels way too serious. Its like the more detailed forge is the more is taken away.

I'm hoping that the coalition can make the game they were working on before gears 4 into something on par with the quality of UC. But since they changed their name to a Gears reference im hoping its not a 343i type deal. We need a linear stealth game like Splinter Cell and if they give it cinematics like uncharted it could be a masterpiece.
There arent many games that have the effects that QB has, but shooting sandbags to pieces is pretty cool too.
