Likely higher res and frame rate expanded draw distances (LOD) with denser vegetation and filtering.
"Amount of bones they can use, things that actually affect gameplay" I think you're getting graphics and gameplay confused. Also animations and physics are very impressive in this game and yes those do affect gameplay.
30 FPS with drops to low 20s is common for finished games on both PS4 and X1 this game still has 6 months development time not to mention a whole other version designed for superior hardware. This is a complete non issue amplified by the usual toxic fanboys.
Hopefully it's disks and not discs. Bluray is bogus, requires moving parts forced downloads bloating harddrive and hardware. Physical media is essential but disc based is dead and is more about cheap manufacturing, 4K Bluray is the last ditch effort for the dying media.
Not entirely sure Nintendo will go the VR route right out the gate with the NX but Nintendo do have proven tech for tracking, motion and most importantly wireless streaming (Gamepad) that would make VR far more appealing to the masses. Nobody wants wires coming out of the head and face thats tethered to expensive hardware and Nintendo already have the patents to solve this.
If this rumour is true it is obviously for the handheld component of the NX. Tegra is designed for mobile and the current as in not new but already available Tegra chip called the X1 coincidentally is about 10x as powerful compared to the Vita.
One thing know one mentions here is that different architectures have different yields in real world performance. Even if the NX has less compute units, total ram etc compared to X1, PS4 but is utilizing different architecture with more modern features it will most likely be way more efficient with greater overall performance compared to either. Base line specs never tell the entire picture as an example when the PS3 was revealed Sony claimed over a teraflop in performance which is close to X...
Polygons non review seems pretty unprofessional in my opinion. I have no problem with negative reviews everyone is entitled to there own opinion but this game is obviously not horrible (72 on metacritic) I imagine the reviewer being completely uncoordinated and incapable of multitasking then having a tantrum throwing the Gamepad at the wall lol.
Immature game with mature content sums up most of the really popular gaming franchises on X1 and PS4 really lol.
Your viewpoint is so predictably narrow and biased as usual. You even judge those mentioned games worth by their sales lol. The entire industry would likely devolve into pressing random buttons while watching movies if things went in the direction you apparently prefer. A truly stagnant gamer with dull preferences. Thank god Nintendo exists and actually does interesting and wacky new things its just really too bad you and so many other amateur gamers don't have the capacity or knowledge t...
To bad you can't get over yourself and be reasonable and instead have to bend reality to meet your bias viewpoint. Game is dual rendering at high frame rates similar to VR except its running off a Wii U which has less than a fifth of power required for VR. If you can't appreciate the talent behind Nintendo and Platinum to make this work with such limited resources then you are just lost as a gamer. As much as you hate the Gamepad the reality is it enables new ways to experiance gaming...
As a PC gamer with a mid range system I get similar performance with most modern games at high settings in terms of frame rates (40-60) drops usually in similar situations (giant explosions etc). Frame rates over 30fps are generally not a problem for control fidelity although that could be more prominent with the high sensitivity of the Gamepad. Going to be fun.
Totally agree. Just finally found a used copy of Splatoon last week and it is easily the most innovative online shooter to come out this gen. Controls stellar with no auto aiming assists like pretty much every other console fps or otherwise. Starfox will be great, funny how few people comment when its a positive article from a reputable site.
So many dull gamers hating on challenging new gameplay mechanics and higher skill based control methods which they then refer to as gimmicks. I am happy Nintendo actual takes games and the way they play in new directions as opposed to the same hand holding auto aiming gameplay with shinier graphics that boring Sony and Microsoft fans crave so hard. Amateur gamers with dull stagnant preferences make up the majority sadly.
There are rumors of NX consoles being able to supplement one another when in stand by and if that is the case power will become irrelevant when millions of consoles are working together in tandem.
Emulation preserves gaming history... If you have a $1000+ rig that can run this and you already own the game than cudos, you should have every right to emulate.
Bushido Blade...
It seems obvious that the NX will have somewhat similar achitecture to PCs, X86. I have herd that although physical dev kits aren't readily available to most devs SDK software kits for PC are already being utilized as a go between to prep many future titles. I think 3rd party support is not going to be an issue.
Faxanadu is an epic...
I'm hoping this is sarcasm. Burning info to a Disc or writing it to a Disk is a non issue and has nothing to do with porting, again is a completely non issue.
