ive only got the 40gig and i read sumwhere that sony tend 2 replace the damaged 40gig with a 60gig is that true? happened 2 any1else?

i think your right it must b the hdd im formatting it now its gonna take 3hours the new update started 2 install but after 2 hours it only got 2 3% fu<k that ill b here all day i couldnt back up my files it cums up with an error code so ive lost POPULOUS and PAIN and sum other games but oh well ill hav 2 start over again, let ya know wot happens in 3 HOURS TIME DAMN IT!!!
my ps3 fu<ked i cant install the firmware update it just stays on 0% it has been like that 4 an hour ive resarted it and its the same ive even tried downloading it and puttin the update on a USB memory stick and still nothin, im not happy at all, i had a sh!t load trouble installin gt5p (disk not download) and it took nearly 9 hours of trying ive gotta wait and speak 2 an adviser

This is no lie, ive spent nearly 9hours trying 2 install gt5p, i inserted the disk and began 2 install it but after 3hours it didnt work it i then realized im gonna hav 2 try again so i did again and again and again i rang customer service and they said im not the only 1 whos had this problem i tried again and left it whilst i watched bear grills born surviver 2 my surprise it worked....
I cant wait 4 the kettle 2 boil let alone wait 9 or so hours 2 install sumthin, anyways it...
i know its unrelated news but i need help, ive just bought gt5p it needs 2 b installed the first attempt took 3hours but didnt finish i restarted it and the same happened although it did manage 2 get a bit further, ive looked on the net for similar problems but found nothin, how long should it take?

i restarted it and it got a bit further than b4 but now its stuck AGAIN, my controller doesnt work now, were as b4 i could push the ps-button and the option would cum up (turn off system/controller for example) nothin happens, ive checked ive got enough memory on my hard drive and theres no scratches on the disk and still im stuck,
ive just bought gt5p and its takin aaaages 2 install its been goin for nearly 2 hours should it b that long? it just doesnt seem 2 do anythin, the install bar is just under half way but its been like that 4 an hour now it hasnt moved at all, any advice, PLEASE...

when i could put in a game and it would play straight away NOT any more, i bought gt5p the other-day and it screwed my ps3 up, i had a lot of trouble installing it (like 9hours of trouble) it would install to about 30% then stop, after trying and trying it finally worked but then i needed the online patch which caused a hole load more trouble, the data that got installed corrupted and i couldnt remove it an error code appears, i rang sony and they told me im not the only1 whos had this proble...
