Yea, 8 jaguar cores are sufficient to run it at medium settings and below 1080p. This is a console using an APU, not discrete graphics technology and it was never going to run BF4 anywhere close to 1080p on Ultra settings.
But think at the CPU in the next gen conosles, they aren't on the level of an FX AMD or i5 intel....and Battle is very CPU heavy.
Medium settings aren't shabby at all in Battlefield. Still happy I'll be playing it on Ultra :)
7950 is about 220$ish now and can max out Crysis at 60 FPS. There will be dipd down around 50 but the game will be around 60 FPS a majority of the time if you ruen the shadows down a setting. Looks amazing.
True. Playing BF3 for the first time on high-end PC for about 2 weeks, and it has a very big community and is like playing a different game than when playing it on consoles.

I made the same decision, except I'm sticking with one HD7950 for a while, it does it's job really well by its self....and by overclocking just a little its literally a 7970!
Both next gen consoles are using 8 core AMD CPUs. So ALL next gen games will be coded to use hyperthreading like we've seen with a lot of recent titles (notice DICE showing BF4 off on AMD CPU and GPU?)

Yea I switched to PC too. I have so much more fun on PC and if you have the money you should. There is still fun on the consoles, but there is a huge difference in PC and console gaming. And PC gaming is booming too so nows the time to join! Just built a PC with a 7950 about 2 weeks ago and I am so happy I did.
Yup, I think my 7950 will more than handle Titanfall when it's released ;) Really looking forward to this one.

Yea I got my 7950 for only 220$ brand new with 3GB GDRR5. It will last well into next gen and by the time I might want to upgrade the 9000 series will be cheaper.

They're sorry for the money they'll be losing this gen from their anti-consumer policies, nothing more. If people would have accepted it everyone would have been shafted and they would have been even more wealthy.
People realized what was going on, showed their disgust and now MS is "sad and sorry".
I personally enjoy seeing that the PS4 is going to destroy Xbox One this gen. They deserve it.
