So... the kid not playing GOW was the one who committed the violent act? So there is no connection to video games then! Anyways, the article didn't really explain much. It just gave the bare minimum of facts. Based on that information, there is no way someone can connect it to video game violence. It just so happened the victim was playing GOW when it happened. No connection.
I'd like to try out what they've done with her. Though, I would like my parasite and spawn broodlings back :( They were always fun to use if you had 12 queens who could parasite all the enemy observers or all enemy overlords, or broodling every single tank in the enemy base in the span of 5 seconds. Ah, fun times :)
I don't know what's more amazing, the 1200 USD part or the 14 USD part.
Orange Box definitely above Halo 3 IMO. I really wasn't that impressed with Halo 3. I preferred 2 more.
Personally I can't wait to see Devil May Cry, the new Mortal Kombat, Splinter Cell, and Prince of Persia. I am actually a BIG fan of video game to movie adaptations, even though many people really hate them. The only thing I am RARELY a fan of is the reverse, movie to video game adaptations.
I guess when there is no real connection between violence and video game violence, they have to reach for any stretch they can at all. Considering that, this outlandish connection isn't surprising to me at all.
What about Left 4 Dead? That really looks like it is going to be fun for multiplayer. Also, I can't believe Force Unleashed isn't on there. Not even Too Human? I'd personally even have replaced Mario Kart with DBZ: Burst Limit. White Knight Story also looks promising. Notice, none of these are sequels and all seem that they could be quite innovative. Left 4 Dead has a very good chance of being a good change for the Zombie/Survival genre. I understand you couldn't put in every anticip...
You are entitled to your opinion, and I just happen to disagree. Killer Instinct was so much fun for me because I would go over to a friend's house who had it just to play it with him. We'd pop in other games as well, but we never went a single night without playing it. Killer Instinct for SNES wasn't as big to me as Killer Instinct Gold was on N64. KI:Gold may actually be my #1 on N64 list, just because I actually still play it a lot. It had one of the best combat systems. I liked that ...
TMNT IV: turtles in time not in top 10?? BLASPHEMY!! I just beat it again yesterday. I still play it because it owns so much. Perhaps the best soundtrack for a game ever, as well as amazing gameplay. It is in my top 5 easily, but I can see why someone wouldn't have it so high considering the unbelievably epic amount of hits on the SNES. PS1 had its share, but SNES will always be the best console of all time.
I'd love to watch the final round. I hope they have it on a website or something...
Dynasty Warriors is one of my most anticipated games for the rest of the year. Force Unleashed, Soul Calibur IV, Starcraft 2, Brawl, and Midnight Club: LA are the only ones that I am more anxious to play. Of course, there are other games out there that I am really looking forward to, such as Splinter Cell: Conviction, MGS4, Dead Island, and DBZ: Burst Limit. However, I am not looking forward to them as much. If RE5 were finished in 08 (doubt it, though), that'd be my most anticipated of a...
Well, considering that she and I disagree on almost every issue she stands on, I kind of already assumed that she would take that side, seeing my stance on video games.
What a half-assed written list. I hope they are ashamed...
D3 and Starcraft Ghost would both be insanely fun to have. I need a new comp first, so I can use D3. However, for now, I'd like to see Starcraft Ghost. I read that horrible book "Starcraft Ghost Nova" in anticipation of the game, but then found out worked was discontinued for a while. Please give me my Ghost sometime in the next 4 years.
Well, I have only seen one video game to movie adaptation that I didn't enjoy immensely and that is the Super Mario Bros. movie. I loved DOA, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Hitman. I haven't ever been a big fan of MGS, but maybe this will get me into it? I love seeing movies of characters I have always loved to interact with in video games, so it is always a huge joy for me to watch such movies. I hope this one is as enjoyable to me as those in the past.
While it is installing, go take your shower, watch a single episode of some TV show, look at n4g to see what is making the news. This is only a problem to people who have no patience and/or want to be the first to finish the game among their group of friends. If that is the case, then they have no chance anymore, since the game has been out for at least a day now. I really didn't care when I installed it, because it just built up the suspense for me, which made me all the more happy when I...
I agree completely. Now, it is an absolutely brilliant idea because every multiplatform game that has been worth owning, I have gotten on the 360 because of superior chatting ability and the achievements. Same thing has gone for most of my other friends. The first game I am going to get PS3 over 360 is DMC4, just because of specific reasons involving the controller and complaints I have heard over the 360 version.
The only reason I am looking at getting a new computer is for Starcraft II. If this could work, I'd be so happy because I already have a PS3. Also, addition of being able to talk to other players over blu-tooth? Hellz yeah. That'd make 2v2 a lot more fun. Hold shift to talk to all on keyboard, like in SC1, or hold shift to talk to all on the blu-tooth. It'd make ally chat so perfect.
Just because it is "last gen" graphically doesn't mean it isn't a great buy for people who are just now deciding to play some games. It is probably the absolute best buy you can make if you want to play some great RPGs, along with a SNES. It introduced some of the best hack n slash of all time, Devil May Cry and God of War. It even had some great GTA and great MGS on it. It may be last gen, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great system to buy, since great games are not always de...
