I am not a pirate so I care about having the umd drive so i can play my psp games on psp2 when it comes out. I think hacking is just a waste of time if I want to play a game I either wait till i goes down in price or just buy it if i really like it. Most games go down in price and psp games you can get used for ten bucks or less.

If you compare the 3ds specs to any of the consoles it doesn't come anywhere near ps3 or 360 its more like the gamecube or the wii. they should call it the wii portable but if they did that they wont be able to hype it up. resident evil remake for the gamecube looked pretty good so thats what i am expecting to see on the 3ds.
Now as far as the psp2 goes i wonder what words developers or sony is going to say for that because we all know that is going to be one little power...
what purpose do digital downloads bring? do they think they can stop piracy with that um absolutely not hackers will hack the hard drive so no point. I think the only reason they have is that other companies like gamestop and small gamestores go out of business because they can't resell used games. so in the end they only make people lose their jobs. they can't compete against the wii and ps3 and ds and psp in japan and they spent so much money on exclusive jrps and handing out paychecks. with all that money they spent down the drain they could of made twice as many xbox 360 exclusives in the US or Europe. they should just give up japan completely and focus there resources here but then again since i favor sony i rather let ms spend their money down the drain it also nothing to them anyway to throw money around.
Just to let you people know in order to play crysis at a nice frame rate and get console quality graphics people spend thousands and buy 3 videocards for example gtx480 which costs 500 bucks each all working in sli put all settings on high and still average 60 frames.
Meanwhile crysis 2 on both ps3 and 360 looks absolutely gorgeous and runs at a decent framerate or forget about numbers the game just runs great. Doesn't that make you think wow something is wrong here your ...
So much time and effort and probably risking your systems warranty and life when you can just wait about a year a buy new games used for ten to twenty bucks.

Now that I put some thought into it I think sony has no choice but to make the same moves as ps3. Unless they make a new type of cpu design that isn't the traditional type but is easier and just as powerful as cell to work for. Sony should just let nintendo and microsoft make their move and then bring out a system similar to theirs. Things they need to fix with ps4 is the blue ray drive speed needs to increase because its slowness is why we have to install most games. developers can stream but that only happens to exclusive ps3 games and multiplatform developers refuse to do that. The reason why they are consider making it multiplatform is because the game probably isn't that good. The japanese game industry is failing the only thing good that has come out is resident evil 5. European and and american developers are the ones making good games. I still though would like to see an rpg use the ps3s potential like god of war 3 but its up to sony themselves to make that happen.

Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, God of war 3 made me a happy gamer this current generation and only playstation 3 is capable of bringing that quality. There is only one way this could happen if Sony sign's a paycheck or else they have to make it multi-platform. Tekken 6 was out in the arcades before the console version was released and I played it for awhile and it looked good. Then the console version came out and looked like crap lower res and lower textures and less animation. Its not the ps3s fault since the arcade version is running on a ps3 so it leaves you with only one though 360 uhhh so sad.
