Simple minds require simple architectures :).....the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" comes to mind. As people get older, (including myself and the devolopers for these machines we love so much) change and new ways of thinking become harder to accept and do. If he is happy and comfortable with older technology, then let him have at it....maybe the xbox will get another good game.
I'm surprised I haven't heard more about this title....looks very promising. Great way to keep your chops up. Like Fred G. says above...hope they have a more appealing song list than what was being played. If not this title may be destined to clutch it's chest and say, "I'm comin' to see ya Elizabeth!" :)
Suite or Suit? :)
have to wait til 4/12 here in the states...DOH :)
I just don't get all of the negativity......the game isn't even out yet and the "doomsayer prophets" are out in force. Sure they may have changed a few modes and some features, but the game footage I have been watching looks amazing. I can't wait for this game to come out. Zipper is behind this, so you should know the quality will be good. Have a little faith people......Jeebus!
"Respected gaming bible Edge" ? I laughed so hard when I read this that all of the Edge writers and staff could hear it on the Short-bus on the way to their office....however, I am sure the NGP is awesome and will buy it day one....even Edge knows it...and that is remarkable LOL
Bravia all the way :) The Bravia brand is the best out there.
Looks schmooks......One question for ya DICE.....can ya go prone in Multiplayer?
I am certain the multiplayer will be great....the single player campaign looks very impressive. The video here just shows a few different maps with fire-fights basically....will be nice to see some player-view vids of multiplayer with actual objectives. Zipper knows their stuff and this game will be excellent. So tired of CoD and the like. It's time for Socom to get back into the game.
Heavenly Sword on this would be sweet and I totally agree it was greatly underrated....still one of my favorite games on the system.
the Heavenly Sword and Gatsu's sword from Sword of the Berserk should be on that list as others have mentioned. Agree that the Gunblade from FF8 should be there too.
THe "Eye Toy" was a PS2 peripheral. The "PS Eye" for PS3 does do 3D tracking, Uses voice and tracks your head as well...not necessarily face recognition. But overall, the PS Eye with Move Controllers is the most accurate motion control setup I have played. 1 to 1 tracking and accuracy to boot. Kinect has it's positives for sure, but for me... I could never imagine trying to play a shooter or RPG with no controller at all. Move for the win here clearly.
@ Dog Beliefs.... Great vids man....I currently play MAG and I am dying to play Socom 4 with the Move. Thnx for posting those links.
Interesting read....entertaining even :)
Was just poking fun FrustratedFury....and you are right...I needed to listen to yer podcast. Just giving you hell there :) The game works great for us at our home during the day, but when it is night time, the room we play in is too dark and it does make the game sluggish and harder to play.
I can see Kinect being in the Shovelware category, and even some Move titles (keyword...some) ....but there really are some true core game experiences that support Move and more are coming.
nice debunk :) Thanks for linking that vid Otto.
Really looking forward to this and Socom 4 (and Sorcery for that matter LOL).....gonna be a good year. Looks like they harnessed the capabilities of the Move nicely. Can't wait :)
@Zootang...agree with you on the RE5....went out and bought the Gold edition to play with Move and so glad I did. Implemented nicely there as well.
I'm hoping they are different from the Chrome versions..... Plus the collector's edition didn't come with the Jag.....how does one go about getting the Jag thru Facebook?
The Beta is sweet guys......so happy I go in on the closed. Don't believe the naysayers....It is definitely a Socom game....Gonna be a great game.
