No maybe its because they patched the game based on the feedback from the beta. Also, I believe this is the third patch since the closed beta last year. One in the closed beta, (fixing recoil and accuracy), one in the open (fix servers), and 3 is in the final game to fix all complaints people had during the beta. Like people said above, its the fact that they did it so fast that we all are appreciative. It took COD 3 months to finally get online from disconnecting every 2 matches on the PS3. ...

Like the guy above said SOCOM 4 has online coop. If the first party devs for the PS3 decided to downgrade to Halo Reach graphics then adding online coop will be a breeze. Gears and Halo aren't benchmarking anything so its easy for the engine to render several average looking models in an average looking world, with nothing going on in the environment.
if it also has no online coop also. LOL PC fanboys and their "open" world Crysis 2. Please, its as open world as MGS4. Give the player 2-3 paths to the objective and make it seem you can go wherever you want. But you know what? MGS4 will probably be better than this game LOL

The game is awesome. 7/10 my ass. I wonder what kind of Godly game would deserve a 10 let alone a 9 from these guys.
I think people had such high expectations that they were disappointed that the game wasn't flawless (obviously), but if you just play the game with no expectations you'll see that the game deserves a 9-9.5

Learning curve? That game is easy to plaay. IMO they should of left out the classes and just put the ability orbs from Halo 3 into the MP maps. I find I never use any class except the one with sprint. The jetpack is useless, it just makes u a flying target, the invisibility is good but no one uses it b/c of the shit weapons coming with that class and the shield ones are useless too.

That unskippable beginning cutscene where your wife gets killed, the driving and congested streets, the gunplay.
There were good things like the police setting up blockades and stuff but I really hated the game overall.
When games focus on one aspect of their game too much they end up f'ing up the rest of the game. Look at Mercenaries 2. I remember watching all these vids on the destruction and shit. I was ecstatic that an open world game could have all that destruction. I got the game and found that the destruction was indeed great but everything else sucked. gunplay, enemies were retarded, story was shit.
R* has a good track record though so we'll see.

The main reason I was going to get this game was for coop, there is no coop now so I came here to express my disappointment.
Look at the pic and make the statement that the trailer was CG and looked better than KZ2.
You are right though that initially when the PS3 came out it was hard to develop for but we are talking about now.
