MGS4 was purely story driven it satisfied the fans, the sales and the awards prove that. Gears well it doesn't have much of a story, the gameplay is really good just like killswitch but better. If you played the games without skipping the scenes they were long. MGS3 was really long as close to MGS4. They even made a special dvd for MGS3 so people could watch it.
A lot of people such as myself have been long time fans of Kojima's games. This game wasn't a disappointment. The fans of metal gear online and old vets from the mgs3: susbsistence online will agree. People aren't turned off by it, actually the newcomers are more turned off. Check out gamefaqs where most of the vets and fans hang out. I think you're one of the few who didn't like his games. As for everyone else, they love this game. The online is very strong.

I won't use this unless its pretty much like xp but a lot more stable than vista. As a former vista owner I feel that vista just has so many complications. I use my pc for a lot of things, downgrading back to xp was a better choice.
