I like this as a non-standard review of a game. I won't be playing this game, not my cup of tea, but I appreciated the article that looks at the overall way "adult" themed games like this are viewed in today's culture.

Give OLED a few years of seasoning to see how long the displays really last and if they can get the cost down to something < 1 arm + 1 leg.

Then let's talk about whether OLED is better.

Thank you Monty... funny how the comments are commenting on a different article.

Read the article... it says sales of Halo 3 pushed up total Xbox 360 sales for a time.

I love Xbox 360 too but Halo 3 is okay... not the greatest game for the console though.

EA makes some good games. I've played NHL for over a decade. But I would resist buying a console from this company.

I suppose you should never say never but they'd have to come up with something very unique.

I love video gaming but I love outdoors too. I think there it's possible to have balance.

If people weren't such P*S***S they'd go outside in the cold too. There called winter coats, hats and gloves and they make winter perfectly comfortable. Kids in my area don't even wear winter coats, I see them at bus stops in winter wearing a hoodie as a coat and tennis shoes, their tripping over their own pants when they walk. No wonder they hate winter and want to stay in doors.

Sweet, dude! Thanks for the 411!

I know they've been doing all kinds of cool stuff with LED and lasers (including OLED). I haven't seen the results yet because it's all too new. Sounds awesome and I'm sure it is... display tech just keeps on getting better and cheaper which is what I love!

There is a segment of government (in any administration not just the current) that panders to special interests and lobbiests of any ilk that can afford to field them.

The RIAA and MPAA are legal bodies that have a lot of clout. They exist to keep their respective industries profitable without innovation. It's why they litigate with reckless abandon so middle class American families are forced to pay outrageous fines because their kids are accused of file-sharing on Kazza.

Sadly I think I missed a reply from Cgdobrev, but I'd be willing to hear and discuss any aspect of globalization etc. but perhaps this isn't the best place. If there's an open forum or just use the 'open' comments section.

To answer your question I don't believe I'm insane but that's never been a valid argument for one's sanity.

That's what makes this story so shocking. It's a violation of laws in most European countries, it would be a blatant violation of both the Canadian and US constitution.

The subtext here is that we're entering into an age where organizations supercede the nation-state. It's what's been happening with the WTO, NAFTA the EU... etc. It's not always a bad thing but when it is it has the power to be really... REALLY bad!

Kuro are awesome! Deeper black, especially if you're eyes are acclimated to LCD rear projector, will make images look deeper, more 3-dimensional. It's interesting how significant deep black can be.

But no monitor can match CRT in its blacker than black levels. But plasma technology is a close second.

For what it's worth... you might want to take a serious look at Panasonic Viera line. Pioneer gets its plasma panels from Panasonic. Pio uses its own electronics i...

Sometimes it's hard to guage picture quality in stores. There are so many variables not the least of which is the contrast setting on the set and the ambient lighting in the store... if you're at Best Buy it's going to bad.

Like I said in the article... LCD has basically caught up in terms of picture quality if you're looking at the latest Sony Bravia 120Hz models.

But if you're looking at a budget model in the 45-inch or greater range - dollar for dollar a plas...

Hi Jinx!

DLP is a micro-display or project technology based on a chip similar to an LCD or LCoS, except that it's much more responsive. DLP chips are fast at changing colors so you're not going to be concerned about the refresh rates. Multi-chip DLP projector are some of the best projectors made. But they tend to be prohibitively expensive which is really too bad, I would think Texas Instruments would make out like a bandit if they reduced the price a bit.

What c...

Sorry, I have to disagree. Do you have an example of a problem with the way the article is written? It has gone through copy edit.

There is no 'point' as it's not an editorial nor is the article attempting to conclude that MvG is going to be successful in its endeavor. It's just news, the story is that a new company has formed that will be making music video games. You may or may not hear from them in the future.

Nice story Alexander, it's a variation of the Aesop fable of ancient Greece called the fox and the grapes. The moral is... "Only a fool despises what he cannot get."

Perhaps it does have some application in gaming.

That seems to be support that it'll help you get fit.

Look, I still the jury is out. I am not convinced that it's a good thing at all even if it gets a few folks off the couch temporarily.

A game won't get you fit, it may temporarily make you feel like you're doing something. If it creates the illusion that you're really doing something for your body then I would argue it's doing more harm than good.

However, it's intended to be a means of monito...

the evil clown was just an observation of the dichotomy of a video game that alleges to keep you fit. The writer is not saying that it's an evil game.

Hey, Wii Fit alone won't get you in shape. Neither will a brand new pair of tennis shoes. You have to have the desire and commitement. Wii Fit is the vehicle and there are many!

I am not a hater, I think Wii Fit is a unique and innovative piece of equipment.

I haven't seen it yet but I think it's supposed to be not as funny as the last ones. I liked the old ones and will definitely check this out when I get time.
