An absolute tragedy. RIP Duder! You will be sorely missed. :'(
Used to be a time where people didn't care so much about gaining money from their work. They were just happy to see their work being recognised enough for someone else to use it in their form of work.
Hell, if I had my work used by Naughty Dog I would take it as one of the highest forms of flattery there is. I wouldn't go on some rant about how I am not getting royalties from it. I'd be stoked that these guys chose my work, out of all the possible works they could...
WTF MAN?! WHO LEADS WITH AN ARTICLE TITLE LIKE THAT!
I clicked straight onto the source page from the front page of this site and instantly I get two spoilers that I had, until now, managed to avoid completely.
Why the hell would you lead with spoilers in an article title?!
Hold me. :'(
I'm scared. :(
@Coolbeans
Yeah but they're more reliable than the random '360k' that AngelicIceDiamond came up with. Maybe they're talking a specific region or something? Claims on VGCharts are that it's being undertracked as well.
@aCasualGamer
That's not really how it works. It's not the full RRP of the game going to the publisher. You have to take cuts for the retailer, then divvy things up to developer, manufacturer, etc.
Sony...
What an awful, awful theme.
The original has a trophy for beating the game in 5 hours. If they're insinuating that 8 hours is short, then they're way off.
I also recently completed God of War 3 in 7 hours 45 minutes(again after the first time took 10 hours).
This is a big reason Japanese game development is in the toilet.
Unoptimised games with 30+ seconds worth of load times where you just stand around doing nothing is not fun. If you're going to have long load times at least fill them with something interesting to do while it loads.
Games nowadays give you cutscenes, interesting dialogue, in-game masked loads (via on-rails sequences or some such gameplay feature). Multiple ways of hiding loading times while...
'I’m going to give the award to San Andreas, mainly because I cannot stand 80’s music. Forget Motley Crue, Corey Hart, or Flock of Seagulls; I’ll take Soundgarden and Dr. Dre any day.'
Jeez, someone needs to get a lesson in music. 80's music>Any era music.
I'll quickly bullet point the 5 reasons Vice City is not only the best GTA, but the best game ever.
Best Main Character
Best Soundtrack
Best Story

@Link079
You could literally not be anymore wrong with your comment than you are.
Also 'Link' nice work not being a total Nintendo fanboy...
No Nintendo aren't going to magically bring out some 8GB RAM Wii U, because then the non-8GB RAM Wii U's are redundant and everyone would have to chuck it out or sell it back. Otherwise that makes double the work for devs to create two Wii U versions.
What features were c...
Why not just get a UK PS Store card and grab your PS+ from the EU store instead?
Exactly what I was gonna say!
Nah, Naughty Dog are VGA announcement kings. Come end of 2013, expect Uncharted 4 or something else to be shown off.
"by far the longest campaign that Naughty Dog has ever made"
Suggests that it'll be longer than Jak 1, 2 & 3 as well as Uncharted 1, 2 & 3 and also Crash 1, 2 & 3.
Because Naughty Dog made all those games, and yes that includes Jak & Daxter so yes even longer than Jak & Daxter.
Naughty Dog made Jak & Daxter didn't they? So of course, that includes those titles.
Yep, I loved it too.
I didn't get it until the PSN down fiasco and it was given as a free game, but I was very pleasantly surprised. And it made Outland an instant buy afterwards.
I even bought the DLC as soon as it came out and ran through that very quickly.
Would love an expanded Dead Nation game. Could be incredible!!
Oh and Dinosaurs? HELLS YEAH!
"You wrote Dead Spaces' instead of "Dead Space's." You also use apostrophes where you intended to use quotation marks (I think)."
That one was just a confusion of me quoting and re-writing it several times to the point where I got the apostrophe mixed up (I wrote that one in late is what I'm saying - the simply change it to...etc.). However, you also used apostrophes where you intended to use quotation marks in your own post. ;)
The review is incredibly poorly written I'm not surprised at the score. It actually feels like it has been translated by Google translate from some other language it's that poor.
The sentence structuring and words used are often so vague that you can't understand what's being said and the unnecessary thesaurus word implants (no doubt to attempt to look smart) just add to that confusion.
Take the opening paragraph for example:

Kingscorpion has it right.
At the end of the day, if a game is short, the overriding factor of whether a game is good or not shouldn't be how long the game went for. It should be, did I enjoy that time?
Of course, if you get to the end of a game and go "damn I just wish there was more of this!" it can be disappointing in a way, but at least you WANT more. Better than getting that much of a way through a game and then saying "well I'm gl...
