Wouldn't that burn people who just bought a console the previous 2 years though? I mean yeah I know this model works for Cell phones but for consoles it may be more difficult to pull off. That's if they go this route in which I think they won't but we will see.

Yeah I don't think that's it. I think they are afraid that Sony could also go this route that MS is taking and I'm pretty sure they don't want that, well majority don't want that. Have nothing to do with keeping Sony in check.
Probably because it's a Indie game. Although Indie games are growing on some people, majority still feel that a game have to be AAA to be truly worth the gaming experience.
Naw only those really sensitive will get butt hurt, but who knows your theory may be on track of Microsoft thinking. They slowly train people to PC, stop making the console (hardware) and reap in the software benefits without having the hardware drag it down.

Well that depends on what PC you get though. If the PC have Windows 10 on it then you probably will be able to play Xbox games on it, since they are trying to have one ecosystem.

This is actually a good point, but I guess we have to wait and see. Either this will be a successful move for Microsoft or it could be another Sega moment. Only time will tell.
Though I am baffled why people won't just go PC instead since this whole upgrade console pretty much sound like the same experience of a PC.

If you feel comfortable enough you can also put some fresh new Thermal Paste on the CPU. I normally recommend doing that every 1.5-2 years, same go for PC's.

MS probably still ironing out the bugs with their azure servers. Though I do agree with you, during 360/ps3 XBL rarely went down I mean like 2/3 times a year.
