Err just because a game has sterotypes (let's not forget movies, and book aren't innocent of this either), doesn't mean it isn't taken seriously as a form of art.
Something that is art is like El Shaddai, or Children of Eden. That to me is art.
When I meant school, I meant collage. Around the 20-28 demographic. It's only strange if your 30 and are a gamer because 20 years ago, video games were still considered toys. The kids today are born with a xbox controller in hand, and those same kids will be future parents, and future grandparents.
It's a wave of change...slow, but strong if you ask me.
How can you say that? Nearly everyone in my school has played Call of Duty...it's definitely not the same "stigma" it was, say 10-15 years ago.
The stigma is for the niche japanease rpg games, or other niche titles...Gaming is very mainstream, hell let's not forget Black Ops still holds the record for the most sales in ANY medium.
It has a 89 on metacritc, and a 88.39 on gamerankings...you shouldn't use 1 review as a compass for whether this game flopped or not. Read the other reviews from ign, and gamespot, there all praising saything is one of the best indie story games of all time.
So you're okay with spending 600+ for a new consoles...
An then spending 70+ dollars for a new game..because there's no way in hell games are going to be cheaper with the higher budgets that developers will spend for next gen titles.

Ken Levine (the creator) said there more than willing to create a multiplayer component, IF and only IF, it's something that has never been seen before.
Bioshock 2 (different developers made this one) had multiplayer, and to be honest it made the game even worse (believe it or not)

Aren't the exclusives for nintendo usually the only games they get? It's not like third party studios are itching to bring games to the wii.

Are you kidding? Portal 2, L.A Noire, Red Dead Redemption, GTA IV, Mass Effect 2, Crysis 2, Fable 2, etc...all had launch day embargos.
It's the rule of thumb. Don't know why they choose to do it, but, they do...
That said, the previews of The Cartel already made this game sound like it was pure shit, and could've benefited for a year long delay...
How? The homicide cases were quite different than the Vice cases, or the arson cases if you ask me.
