Not exactly right there... The whole idea of DirectX is that developers can easily scale down... therefore they could develop leaps ahead of consoles and then try to run in on old laptops... but, who uses laptops (not those 17,18inch ones) to game??

With $1500 you should be able to get a computer that owns almost all... I spend a little less and got a Nvidia GTX570 (GPU), a Intel 2500k (CPU), a sabertooth p67 (motherboard), two 500GB disks in RAID0, 4GB of DDR3-1600 RAM, a 750W PSU (power supply unit) and other stuff (windows 7, dvd-rw, an awesome CM-storm-sniper case, etc.) AND a 3D 1080p monitor.
That should be around $1300 at most.
But if you like you could get a Nvidia GTX580 (instead of the gtx570), and tha...

Ask yourself this questions: Are you as stupid as the guy on the video? Do you only play shooters AND are a bad loser? Are you willing to learn some stuff on your own? (it is not programming or shit... just learn to follow instruction generally) Can you build a computer? (on this point... Building a computer, for me, was easy as hell; built 3 with no problems on any).
Consider that most of the problems the guy on the video has are because he is lazy and impatient... are you like that?...
