Why would they even try to focus in gameplay instead of graphics, in a crysis game, is beyond me.
...don't get a gaming laptop, better to have a great gfx in your rig, and an "expendable", easy to carry laptop.

I don't understand why making extreme graphics translates directly to a costly development cycle.
Now a days (video-game) 3D artists generally make models much more complex than what they finally implement on games, and textures are downscaled from their original high rez versions.
Other effects such as smoke and lightening don't add up too the difficulty; new-gen light may even make things easier as they don't have to use baked light.

3D on console is just to low rez for my taste... I prefer bigger rez than 3D.
3D on Pc would be much better without the ghosting. That said, some games look incredible in 3D (i.e. Batman, The witcher, etc)
But I prefer to game at 1440p if the game is not well done in 3D.
(and I'm aware I can have both 1440p and 3D at the same time, but I don't have a grafx card powerful enought)
