if games were like real life, where would the immediate gratification come from? Sometimes, you have to understand that authenticity and realism are 2 different things.

A football match is played over 90 minutes, a Fifa match maybe 8 minutes on average. The developers have to make it so that you have fun while keeping the rules and the game as close to reality as they can. Somewhere in the process however, something has to give. That's where stats come in. They discriminate...

Dragon Age 2 on consoles or PC?

I know where Oakville is. However, I wasn't even aware that they had a studio in the province. I knew about the one in Vancouver. Had no idea they had 2 in Canada.

that they had a studio in Toronto.

It takes place after the Blight of Ferelden. As stated here:

Better check your info throughly next time. You even cross paths with your comrades from DA:Origins.

takes place while the events of Dragon Age Origins are unfolding or coming to an end. There is no big gap.

is as to how those organizations even become aware of are informed of such occurrences. What is it; they have some partisans scouring every piece of media for those or is it that it happened by coincidence? A Gran Turismo fans also happens to be part of that group and reports it to the leader? I mean come on, no one(/nobody?) can be that anal.

for a 2 year old game you can basically play for free on a flash site or Battlegrounds....yeahhhh, totally worth it.

I don't mind. When I was playing those games, I never thought they had some sort of problem. I mean, come on, what's the point? It's just like that, it's not that important.

Why would you ever want to pay more? Wasn't that the whole point of downloadable games from PSN and XBLA; to make smaller, less expensive pieces of software. 9.99 is the magic number. You go past that double digit threshold and you're pushing your luck unless you can provide 1/3rd more content than what we are used to.

but most of the time, wealthy people don't pay millions for works of art because they are super admirers. They buy those because they are considered as assets whose value accrues as time goes on. They are not subject to the volatile nature of the financial world and can only gain value by virtue of their uniqueness and limited availability. Just like diamonds or gold.

Pertaining to the actual subject being discussed in this article, my personal belief is that publishers ...

$15? Not getting it. $10 would have been perfectly reasonable.

Looks great. Deluge of good downloadable game this year. Lara Croft next.

I can't believe some of those are getting released at retail level. The Fight Lights Out, The Shoot and so many others scream 'PSN'. I mean come on. $40 for those? I would very very gladly buy all of them if they were $15 in the PSN store but pushing those as boxed titles for $40 is called riding your luck.

Time Crisis is actually worthy of being sold at retail but many of the others aren't.

gimmick for now but it`s probably going to become standard in the future. 3dtvs that don`t use glasses should arrive soon and the tv manufacturers are going to push it hard since they need something to sell at a premium. LCD HDTV prices are dropping fast and they need something to make more money. What`s better than videogames to showcase those advancements.

Does that mean something? I thought outsell was used in conjunction with a similar item to evaluate the superiority of one product in terms of sales. An analogy or comparison. Actually, it could make sense but it really doesn't.
