If you own a PS3 and want to play Gears do what i do. Buy the 360 console at a place with a 30 day return policy and the game. Play the game which is easily finished within 30 days and then return the console. Other option is just rent the game instead of buying.
gears is a great game and totally worth playing, but you don't need to permanently own a 360 to do so.

pffft, game play looks fine to me. i'm not some fanboy with a magnifying glass examining textures. will definitely pick this one up for the PS3 and laugh at all the "sky is falling" posts for the PS3.
