Fallout and Skyrim. Bad examples. Bethesda makes their games for first person. Yes they give you a third person option but it's unplayable. It's awful. They don't even have running animations for every direction. They look like crap. You should've used gta v or rdr2 as an example and they took one year to give you the option
More options the better? And you think making a good third person option is free? It requires a lot of resources. You have to change the design. The UI which was thought with first person in mind. Work on the animations for V and for every weapon. It's hell to be honest and every who thinks this is easy knows nothing about game development.
CDPR should be able to do the game they want and that's it. The Witcher didn't have first person and nobody complained

1 - most of the revenue comes from consoles.
2 - let's say i like basketball. And I want to play a basketball videogame. What choice do I have? Nba2k is the only one and the other is nba live which is from EA (lol).
actually not. i know lots of people who love playing fifa and nba2k (at least 20). in fact, sport games are the only reason they buy a console. and they buy those games every year. every iteration. $60 every year and its basically the same game with updated rosters. they literally don't play anything else and obviously they don't read any gaming site.
and let me tell you. they really dont care at all about microtransactions. some of them pay. some of them dont. but ...
