i think this blog is hilarious. you do a good job of picking the most biting topics.
i have seen so many arguments and so many people flipping on their opinion over the last few days. it is so funny. people forget so fast.
nice to see someone who has a memory that lasts more than a few weeks...
greatest gens of gaming? i'm sorry but no. was it good? yeah of course, but it was also terrible. endless cod copies and dudebro shooters. endless sequels. endless dlc milking for almost every major release.
of course i am not attributing the bad things to a lack of a market leader. i am not saying "all of this bad stuff happened because no one dominated". but it is a part of the equation.
you said "games cost more to make = they get releas...
i don't know about you guys but i already had enough with the 360. despite being a girl i thought all the kinect stuff was totally lame (even though i was the target audience for that junk) and now microsoft still wants to force us to buy it? yeah right.
i was really hopeful for the next xbox because i was hoping they would go back to the way they were when the xbox 360 first came out. they made a lot of great games back then!
hopefully they pick a ceo who acts smarter toward the wii-u.
i mean, if ubisoft can give support to all platforms (not just the wii-u but also the vita!) and still turn a profit, yet they do not have nearly as much money as ea, i think ea can afford to make a few wii-u games here and there.
i think they are just being lazy.
pretty well put. i mean for me this is what i keep asking about all three of the next generation consoles: i already have a ps3 and wii and pc, so why upgrade? sure i can understand if people want to dive right in to the new consoles. thats okay. but will the general public buy the most expensive console on the market when many of those games are on cheaper platforms? probably not.
wow that was interesting dedicated. i admit i got a bit teary eyed at the unemployed part because my dad has been laid off for almost a year and it has made things really tough for my parents and my younger siblings (i live outside the home)
hmmm that is kinda interesting. the writer points out that the easy thing to do is simply to not buy it and call it a day but the reason people are getting mad is because they cannot say no to a game console.
i mean i am going to say no to xbox one but kinda makes sense. let's see if people will stick to their guns when microsoft shows off a few games at e3.
um no. i already get scared of certain games and i do not need a camera creeping me out by watching me while i play.
it seems like a cool feature but you know what else would be a cool feature? a well-designed game. games can be scary without a heart monitor keeping an eye on you
yeah the more i see about the xbone the more it makes sense. i read a story today that said microsoft started developing the xbone in late 2010, and since they are launching this year, that means less than three years to make the dang thing.
i do not think it is a big mistake. finally, sony is saying 'you have to do this' because usually they do not do that. that is why trophies took so long, why remote play for ps3+psp never took off and why remote play for ps3+vita never took off. it is also why cross buy and transfarring never took off.
i have a vita and i might get a ps4 for this feature.
it would be sad if the market blew up but i can totally see it happening. when i heard that the new tomb raider sold millions and still lost money i thought to myself 'gee this really is not good'
this game looks pretty cool! hahah i know they were trolling but it made me check out the game. i do love arcade games. too bad arcades arent around any more :(
if microsoft is listening to facebook, it means they will go ahead with used-game fee and always online most of my guy friends on facebook think xbox one is cool and even a few girls i know think the tv watching stuff is neat.
so yeah. im not getting one because i dont care about that stuff but even though it seems like microsoft is saying 'we are listening' in reality they are just listening to the people who agree with what xbox one is trying to do
this is how it will start. i know people are counting out the wii-u. i mean, who can blame them? not very many games, hardware is a leap past the wii but only a toe past the ps3/360.
but none of that will matter. it is the only console backwards compatible not only with wii games but also wii controllers. it does not require online. used games are allowed (i don't think it even has online passes for multiplayer games). online is free.
and the current pric...
oooh new monster hunter! hopefully the 3ds version supports online this time. i know the wii-u one does but i started the series on psp and so im just way too accustomed to playing it on the go.
i hope sony doesn't do it but i'm going to be a wii-u/pc/3ds/vita gal this gen because the ps4 will still be several hundred dollars beyond my price range, and at least wii-u offers compatability with my wii games and wiimotes.
looks like a lot of fun haha i'll be the witch with the big boobs. does this game play like castle crashers? does anyone know?
why is it an either-or between sony and microsoft? my only console for 8th gen will probably be wii-u and ill spend the rest of my money on 3ds and pc (and probably a vita when tearaway comes out).
Nothing. they've shown their true colors and instead of owning up to it they keep backpedaling and saying 'we did not really say that about used games'.
i have enough self control to say 'no' to a game or console. people should stop being drones and actually stand up for their consumer rights. if you cant do that for something silly like a videogame system, then you wont do it when it really matters, and that's sad.
i saw this linked on my fb page. people are so quick to say "this does not matter" but would you be saying the same thing if your console was in the lead?
we live in a connected world. i have friends who update fb on an hourly basis on their phone. i have to ask those who think the online response to xbox one will not make a difference: what planet are you from? even my non gaming friends know about how microsoft is trying to sell another kinect camera (they say it ...
