They did take resources away. KH3, and XV were both suppose to use the Luminous engine and KH3 started over in U4. SE has proven over and over again they aren't like The Witcher 3 devs, they won't hire 1000 people to work on it. XV had what 300? Definitely needed another year at full development
Just give it time. Could update us after this releases.

5 minutes so fine as long as it's engaging. With lots of cool things to explore and side banter.
Except people wanted cut scenes in XV. It lacked them severely. People also wanted open world but look what it brought. Vast lands with alot of nothing. And in the 2nd half literally a linear approach. They could have trimmed some of the fat to make the 2nd half bigger or gave us more towns.
Lestallum was also mostly a bore. So much work went into as XV and Tabata changed it up at any point of critique. Look at the gameplay for example. Duscae demo, Japan complained game w...
Magic was terrible. It should have been used like in 7R. They went another way with it. But again thats not what I mean. You can literally do combos in the game again plenty of YouTube videos show you.
(Spoilers I guess for KH2/KH3 and 7R) Thats like cheating the LW in KH2 or Yozora In KH3, or Hell House in FF7R because you can instead of playing a different way and giving yourself a challenge. You took the easy way out when you played the game. Trust me, overall im disapp...
Yes you could just hold one button and attack in FFXV. But it did have other options on how to play it. Plenty of YouTube videos show you exactly how to take advantage of the system. Or you could be a bore and take the route you did.
Doesn't mean u can't just explore. Days Gone and BotW are big. Imo it makes the games easier to explore with way points.
That's exactly why it's optional content. No way in hell 8 or 9 would get the treatment 7 is getting anyway.
