"I ain't NEVER wasting all those gigs and bandwidth downloading an hour and a half flick, sure maybe in 2017 I'll think about it, but for now, there's a much better alternative that doesn't require an Einstein-like mentality to figure out which is superior, a console that plays both your favorite games and a new HD format adopted by every major motion picture company out there, can't go wrong with that," Winter47th said.
Anyway, I agree with you
coooool
No cure for it.
Everyone: Playstation 3...YOU are responsible of hddvd's fate and for this you are grounded to be here, there and everywhere for long long long time not only as a bluray player but also as a media center that plays blu-ray games,blu-ray movies and on-line.
Playstation 3: As you wish. I just do what my family has been doing all the time.
Universal and Paramount jump over to blu-ray before Toshiba cancels hddvd. Once this happens, no one will need their declaration although I know how low important it is.
Blu-ray was a disadvantage which recently turned out to be an advantage only PS3 as a console has it. The media was wrong about it because they didn't look at the future and didn't take the long term in consideration. Now, Blu-ray won and now starts to be the hottest topic everywhere. When you mention HD as a technology, you must mention Blu-ray which inforces everyone to remember that blacky shiny thing called Playstation 3.(HD=Blu-ray=Playstation 3)
Well, this is living.
Can we say "PS3 has been outselling Xbox360 since WB announced their exclusive support for bluray" ?
Anyway, 2008 looks interesting for PS3
I love the Bay.
a stable console ?.. No question about it. It's PS3
What Sony really needed to get all the positive opinions regarding PS3 from the press is the EARLY success of blu-ray.Fortunately for Sony, this is what the industry really wanted too and this is why WB announced their exclusive support for blu-ray even though WB STILL has some releases for HD-DVD at least 'till next may.
At the end, it's called a strategic planing and Sony did very well in this part and Sir stringer still feels blu.
Regards,
It was plan A ( supporting HDDVD ). It didn't work, so they started with plan B ( showing some love to bluray ).
I can understand this from business standpoint. However, Plan B doesn't change the fact that Plan A has failed.
Speaking of forever, does too human mean anything to you ?
The problem is the installed base of PS3 which most likely will increase in 2008 and totally will be different. So, what's the solution for this big issue ??! BINGO YES! more great games (1st party & 3rd party execlusives ), home service, bluray's lead and early success and of course cheaper price will do that.
Iga needs each possible penny to make a great 3D Castlevania on the console systems ( especially on X360 & PS3 ).So, Iga has no choice but to keep making those 2D Castlevania on any handheld that could make a big profit to his team. The DS proves to iga that it's the right handheld to make that happen and I totally agree with Iga decision eventhough I still dislike the anime look of Castlevania's characters (Miss. kojima, anyone??). However, I still think that Iga should consider a new 2D...
Paramount has to learn from WB not to be short sighted company.
