If MS hadent entered into things you probably still wouldnt have PSN. Or, at least, it would be a shadow of what it is today.
MS trailblazed online console gaming, which is where I spend 99% of my time. If youre not a fan of online gaming then I can see why you might think that, but for me there is no console gaming industry without MS.

I loved the 360. Though really I have fonder memories of original Xbox, N64, and NES.
I played this on my PS4 but quickly gave up. Just didnt enjoy the first bit. I think I'll take another run at it on Xbox.
This is what I've been waiting for this entire generation. BF4 straddled 2 gens. This one is all in ballz deep... possibly even new consoles.

I dont think so. It was dramatically overhyped because it was a console exclusive for a short time. The game is a lot of fun but wears thin pretty quickly. Though I have been meaning to poke back in and give Basketball a go.
Forza 6 is so damn sexy. CAn only imagine it on a souped up PC. I mean, if MS' can get their shyt together with UWP ports.
360 really fleshed it out, but IMO it was Xbox original that laid the fundamental groundwork for online console gaming. Built in Ethernet port and a dedicated online service from 2002 forward.
I beta tested XBL and there was nothing like it at the time. Some of my fondest memories at the advent of online console gaming. Or even before when I would FTP-syslink through XBconnect and play 16p Halo CE in almost always laggy matches. Mechassault, Splinter Cell, Halo 2, Rainbow S...

As much as I love my WiiU, I am not excited for NX either. WiiU is great for being a solid built machine with good local-MP exclusives and VC classics like SMB3, OOT, SMW and so on. I'll always hang onto it for that. NX will have to do more.
Playstation seems to have Cineplex locked down pretty good. Saw UC4, Champion League and SF5 adverts.
I think that the game will be great after playing the beta. whether it will be a hit is anyone's guess. the trailer seemed to make some waves if that's any indication.
