Like I've said before some people around here need to WAIT to see before screaming and pounding that chest from the rooftops just on track records alone.
Believing all that hype can only lead to disappointment, especially after this gen.

It isn't going to happen, they make far to much money from it.
What IS going to happen is they are just going to roll it into another service but guess what you will still be paying for live one way or the other..
Why on earth would you guys think they would throw away all that extra money, Just think how much they make from keeping free to play games behind that paywall.
No they are GREAT at PR and Marketing. But suck at the actual follow through, this gen it was mostly cloud promises and wait and see.
But they sure kept their fan base in line with their PR and marketing.
Only time will tell how long they can continue to pull that wool though.
If you have a 1X I'd say save your money for a year or so and just grab a PS5 and a bunch of extras controllers, games and/or accessories.
Each of their track records say enough without the wait and see...
If you mean following behind sony's (PlayStation's) footsteps again that may be correct as in trying to catch up.
