All I'm gonna say about this topic is that I've read Zimbardo's, "The Lucifer Effect." Stuff got so real they had to stop the experiment. He knows what he's talking about.

I agree, over-hype & under-deliver is a big issue, and the gamer pays that bill. On the other hand, I don't believe this is what CDPR did here.

A lot of times we say, give us something new, then when devs do, we complain. On the other hand, it really seems that there's a big shortage of originality in games. We though the Indie devs would fill that, and to an extent they have, but we need to see it from AAA devs as well.
It's fine to bring out DLC, but not costing almost as much as a full game. Look at CDPR, they give 16 free DLC's, and a paid DLC that's over 20 hours.
