Tesselation relates directly to polygon modeling. This is a voxel rendering engine, which is used as a modeling tool for the reason that it's extremely data intensive and has no valuable use as an animation asset. Given what they showed in the demo, this is just another "look what I can do" demo and nothing will be really implemented.
I would like to see Halo 2 multiplayer come back, that was THE best online experience. No other can compare to all the fun I had on that game.
