I disagree with FF8 as well, it was a great game, and had that epic storyline. Also, the hidden dungeons and stuff were pretty awesome, and if you talked to everyone, the world was pretty deep.
So, one scene majes the whole plot go bad? The plotline with Siefer and the characters are pretty awesome, especially Irvine. Sure, the card game is messy, but you dont have to play it, and it gets fun once you know how to play. Trust me.

The PS2 is still selling extrememly well for a decade old console in the East, and this price drop will increase sales by a lot in Japan, China, and other countries. Its not really meant for North America or Europe.
