You make some good points so no need to disagree. This coming holiday will be packed with surprises and probably a pretty close race in terms of overall software sold.
You guys are all being way to harsh on MS. I cannot remember any E3 where Sony or Nintendo were attacked this way. Sure they didn't announce enough for the hardcore but they have some great announcements. Oh and before I forget the show on Sunday was brilliant.
NO worries...Just glad to see others excited!
You deserve more bubbles! Keep up the fair and unbiased comments.
This is going to be a hard game to top from the look of things. I love my Western movies and now will enjoy my first proper Western game.
It's not really an equivalent simply because XNA rewards it's creators with the incentive to make money. LBP2 is Sony's monster that is (your correct) there XNA just being a tad bit more user friendly. XNA has more potential but the design of LBP2 will always keep it ahead in my eye.
E3 and commercials are where the excitement will pull many in.
Thanks for the sniper comparison shot! That looks way more realistic then part 3.
This is gaming goodness at it's best. Thank You Bungie!!!
"Why can't we talk about what makes a game great?"
You should track people that come here like yourself to discuss gaming news. Believe or not there are tons of guys looking for a good conversations but get caught up in daily nonsense here on N4G. We as gamers need to start sticking together and staying in contact. I personally want to hear and talk about all games this generation.
Edit: Nights and Mario 64 were both great games!
They did cut corners LowCarb but ultimately did so to do what was best for the game play experience. Now as far as linear goes we can't just say one is more then another. It will be interesting to see just how big the world is and if through episodic content will it somehow evolve the game into a bigger experience each month or so. This game has potential just like any but don't you guys think we should at least play it before passing judgment?
Maybe this has been Microsoft's intention all along to demonstrate and constantly work on optimizing a very fast game for Natal use. I think if they can nail this game all others will be a breeze. I'm sick of seeing this title but have no issue with waiting until E3. The good news for all of is as long as MS keeps things away from the media both Sony and Nintendo will keep upping there game and give them a fight for the holidays. Yeah we all know this sucks but just look at how Sony is really...
Bubbles to you both. Believe it or not out side the internet realm there are many gamers who feel exactly the same way. Multi console owners have got to be the luckiest gamers this generation.
Yeah and maybe you should stop kissing Sony as well. He is entitled to give his opinion just like the next guy. Problem is you among others have no intent on even playing the game, yet somehow found your way into this thread to bash.
OT: I could careless about this topic and applaud the developers for being so upfront.
I think the graphics look rather impressive especially the water and cinematic immersion feeling of the world. To each his own but to try and write a game as nice looking as this off as not a great console achievement is just wrong.
"did he mean they can play each other like Shadowrun or just that it's 8 on 8 on both platforms?" Great question Blaze! I hope so that would be great.
Would you say the map was a decent size? This engine looks rather promising. The cover system looks playable in 1st or 3rd person. Wonder how many maps will launch and when.
@OOG- Please don't bring up Rainbow! Your getting me a little excited here.
I once had a nightmare in 3d! Best dream ever and scariest at the same time. Still to this day I believe in ghosts.
on topic: I don't see why it would suck.. 3d and VR games will hopefully be the norm one day.
I was really hoping to see some Dead Island or War Hound footage using Natal. Oh well...guess I need to wait for E3.
That was spoken like a true gamer. Bubbles because you deserve them.
