sony should have acquired Platinum Games when they had the chance.Kamiya,Mikami and Inaba are great developers and at least this way those 3 will get the support they need.imagine Okami was a playstation exclusive.man I would cry for true Okami sequels.but since this means no Bayonetta 2 then I think it will be just a wishful thinking.I strongly believe that sony needs more japanese studios cus it seems that they lack studios there (they only have 2 or 3 i think?),unlike Europe and the US ;) ...
being exclusive =/= greatness all the time whether it's a ps3 or xbox360 exclusive.many games are multiplat and many of them are great.judge the game by how it is,not by on which console its being announced ;)
Cold,you should have put some links to back up your claims.according to vgchartz(if someone has a better source then plz post) all the games you mentioned sold better on ps3 in the "others" territory let alone japan.if some of you don't believe it then you can check the site yourself ;)
weird.I'm playing NGS2 without any problems so far and I have a phat ps3 though I have never played online with it and my bros gave this ps3 to me as they were buying a new one and I think my bro has a psn id with this one.maybe I will ask them if they encountered any problem but so far,no problem with me ;)
the problem with bleach is its known for its bad plot.many fans say that if u want an anime with big and flasy attacks with no story then watch bleach.it could be great as a fighting game but not an rpg.that goes for one piece,which is why its the currently most popular manga in japan.its like watching a great rpg being animated ;)
a heavy rain game style written by Noaki Urasawa (Monster,20th Century Boys,Pluto,Billy Bat).Damn imagine it! David Cage,you really need this mangaka for your next game ;)
hmmm I see everyone praising BF:BC 2 and it's multiplat so it's not always the case.you can find the same fanboys on each consoles.for example,xbox360 fans treat alan wake # metro 2033 as definite AAA titles when we don't even know if they will succeed or flop (remember too human?).and what about crackdown 2? the first game got 8/10 from ign and 7.8/10 from gamespot and suddenly crackdown 2 is an AAA title because it's exclusive! in the end,there are the same fanboys on both consoles as well ...
and there will be a lot of reviews.things will be really active here in N4G after a week or more. and instead of enjoying the game,a war between trolls and fans will occur.it's sad but true :P
people's reaction is normal.a high acclaimed game gets another great review is something normal and expected.plus people usually care for bigger sites scores like IGN,Gamespot,1UP,etc...
but if a game like MGS4,GOW3,Halo Reach,ME2 or any of these games gets a score of 4 or 3, it will get much attention cus everyone will want to know the reason behind such a small score.plus trolls find it a way to make fun of the game which leads to angry posts and so on.you get the picture ;)
I used to buy console + when I was a kid just because they had better coverage for a game than any other magazine (well along with gamefan,anyone remembers it?).too bad we don't have translation for these scans ;)

my only complaint about the list is adding Madden NFL to it.you can't add a game for a sport which only one country in the world favors as one of the top franchise in video game history.it should have been removed and it should have listed Gran Turismo instead of Madden ;)
getting good reviews isn't called hype.getting many previews and daily coverage before the game gets released is called hype like lair,haze and too human.nobody cared about bayonetta until reviews came out just like okami and shadow of the colossus and you can't find people who say that both games got hyped.I could explain more but i just wanted to point this ;)

well well,I guess by the day,everyone is starting to feel this way.first it was the black dev and now this guy.I hope this gets to may people and devs as well.last gen it was about variety,now it's more fps and shooters.I mean I never met someone who complained and said that he is getting bored from games.but in this gen I saw many people complaining about being bored or complaining about a certain genre, something which didn't happen last gen (according to me at least).I hope something will ...

heh,check all the npd numbers for the whole 2009 then talk about new IPs being at number 1.besides wii games and sequels,only one game got ranked at no.1 and it was prototype! imagine that!
oh and last week God Eater on psp ranked at no.1 in Japan so again saying that they don't like to try new IPs is false as well.it's even funnier that we also see Heavy Rain in the charts yet we hear people saying that they don't like new IPs and they don't like to try big things or treat them as alie...
