lolz @ these articles... im sorry but you cant compare scorpio to ps4-p yet all we know about scorpio is 6tflops (whos to say it will actually be that in the end something might go wrong and they make it 5tflops) we have a year difference and on top of that it doesn't mean its going to be better in the end.... it needs games for that which xbox lack (IMO), then say 2years later ps5 will be announced and then we are back to square one with all these articles "ps5 10tflops vs scorpio 6...
i wouldn't rule out the UHDBD player but only the future will tell with that one if they did implement it or not in the end.
you are correct though its a gaming system. its like people going out to buy a bluray player and expecting it to play xbox or ps games because it uses the same media disc. i for one do not care about a UHDBD player as i want it for gaming first movies is second (and i use my pc for that) but i dont buy physical disc for movies i download them. Im buying the pro. It doesnt matter to me at all about the uhdbd player coz i dont own any 4k movies and dont intend to buy any 4k movie (on a disc that is). The only way ill get movies is digitally and thats some what rare for me now a days. but even then im sure you can play 4k video via usb/hdd (fat32) just like you can play movies with the ps4.
Im sure the ps5 will have a uhdbd player (or possibly something else. But as for this gen its not really needed its a console 1st more th...
