Crazy numbers. Just shows how far the gaming industry has come over the last 10 years or so. Blockbuster games used to struggle to get to 4 million lifetime sales, and now they achieve them in ONE week!
It's typical PR. Remember when Sony said they didn't need rumble in their controllers? Look how that one turned out.
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just believe it would have sold far more if they would've got it out the door this year. Mass Effect 1 sold faster than Mass Effect 2, even though it was a new IP, because it came out before Christmas. You see people buying 2-3+ games around this period so other games wouldn't necessarily hurt LBP2s sales.
I wish you could read the article and realise he's talking about all next-gen systems and not just the PS4.
The title of this article is hugely misleading, but it also symptomatic of people that don't actually bother to read them.
True, I think that Call of Duty will eventually beat itself, allowing Medal of Honour to win by default.
I think the Deliver Hope trailer is the most powerful. It convinced one of my mates to buy the game, so it obviously served its purpose.
"That's ok, we'll make our money back on wireless connectivity and hard-drives"
Even as a Halo fan I have to laugh.
Mass Effect 2 released on the 360 when it was the only noteworthy game of that month. The PS3 version will have competition, and don't make the excuse that they are for two different audiences - they are established franchises that are appealing enough for people to want both. However, in the month after Christmas, many people have to work on a limited budget so for them it is one or the other. A bad decision from a business point of view.
Seeing as we DON'T get this app in the UK, can't we have Lovefilm or something? That's kind of our equivalent to Netflix.
Not only is releasing in the month after Christmas, it also has to compete with Mass Effect 2. What were they thinking?
I was going to sign up until I found out you can't use party chat with people outside the preview programme.
Just because they are exclusives doesn't automatically mean they are going to be good. Sure, most of the games on that list are looking great, but there seems to be a perception that exclusives are automatically better than multiplatform games. Many of the best games of this generation have been multiplatform.
Yeah Trials HD for 800 points is a steal.
I don't mind how often they release a game from a franchise, as long as it is of high quality and is a marked improvement over its predecessor.
That is why games like FIFA remain popular while games like Guitar Hero have stagnated.
Do people ever read articles nowadays? He isn't giving the game this score, he is critiquing the video game review system, and yet you get two people who have reported the article because they have obviously only read the title.
How do you define a con? Because you're not conning people just because they're charging high prices. Also, you get a free trial with every XBLA game, so you can try before you buy to make sure you're not making a risky purchase.
Fanboys passing their biased opinions off as facts. Never ceases to amaze.
Yeah that game is looking good.
Just watched it on XBL. Such a surreal environment, can't say I'm a fan of heights lol
Metropolis Street Racer would be nice. It's essentially the first iteration of Project Gotham Racing.
