After reading the comments here, I'm concerned the article wasn't clear to the problem discussed. It wasn't about that the DLC was free or not. The point was the practice of requiring everyone to sync "optional" content before being able to play is poor practice. That's all. I was taken by surprise at the necessity of needing to sync.
Where is the "Full Combo" pack? I did not see it on Xbox LIVE. If you have a link, I'd be happy to update the article.

I agree I could pick up the demo and play for free. I just wasn't sure if it was going to be worthy of my time so I opted for another game at the time. I hope that makes sense. I guess I didn't give the whole story originally. Thanks though!
I almost picked up the demo last night, but I hesitated because I was a little unfamiliar with the series. After this review, I think I may try the demo out after all.
