Coming from a player that has both games, R2 is killer. The game is awesome and the multiplayer is a lot of fun. But, it doesn't look that great! The textures are very weak at times and almost looks like a user made mod. It is funny, I haven't played a game in recent memory that made we say 'WOW' and 'Yuck' so many times while playing through.
Gears 2 is breathtaking. The graphics are simply incredible and honestly, there is nothing out there right now that matches it. Both...
They could take 2009 as well. Sony is doing a good job to catching up but still has a good way to go (coming from someone with both systems here...not flaming, just honest). If you are wise, you would own both systems.
You need XP in your life...if you are a gamer that is.

You made a couple of statements that should be filed under the open zone. I have all three systems and between the 360 and the PS3 the graphics are pretty much tied. Honestly, Gears has some of the best graphics I have ever seen.
Drake's Fortune is certainly the leader of the PS3. Never have I been so impressed. Metal Gear was simply amazing. Could these games be done on the 360, yep. Could Gears be done on the PS3? Nope! Just kidding, heck yeah it could.

Naturally the 360 would outsell the PS3 during this time of year. The 360 comes bundled with games, a good size HD and many extras. Microsoft is throwing everything at games so they will take a bite!
Sony didn't lower their prices and probably won't any time soon.
With the economy officially in a recession, cheaper has a better possibility to sell.

I have been experiencing Home now for a while as a beta tester. First thing I have to say it is fairly impressive. It is a world, a 3d world in which you can play games, watch movies, have your own studio apartment and more. While the beta is limited (no stores are available, limited home decor, clothing choices, entertainment) the world of Home is expanding.

I am having a blast with this game. The singleplayer is great! Some of the coolest levels I have seen. I got my buds to get it and this is what I hear often.....

Personally I have been having a blast with this game. It is crazy and the maps are huge! Pretty darn fun.
Now the cons, the graphics are complete crap....but, if you are playing with 60 players and the maps are as big as they are...you can understand why.
It does play very well and person I haven't noticed any bugs. Catching on fire every time you are even remotely to fire gets on my nerves though.
This game will probably be worth a purchase!

I was able to go by GameStop yesterday afternoon (Saturday 2pm) and get a copy of LBP. I was told I could have the game as they only got 13 copies in and had 30 reserves.
"Someone is going to be mad anyways!" is what they said.
The will not get more copies until Wednesday...Just talked with the manager!
Change a lot of things when it comes to the Wii. This is the first system from Nintendo that I haven't played since I bought it. Where are the games Nintendo?
