I gave this game a chance in the beginning of 2018 on my PS4 Pro. It was fun for a bit, but i know this may sound silly but the game just felt like a huge empty ocean. It was cool getting a few ships and exploring different planets and naming them and finding different resources but after about 25 hours everything felt similar and just rinse and repeat.
Im not going to re-buy it on X even if it runs 2160p @ 60fps but I may play it again on Pro if they add some more immersiv...
QBU-88 from Battlefield 4?
Yep, This just made me realize something. We don't have any issues this gen on Hardware failure! No RROD and No YLOD, we made it lol.
GPU power gap is the whole output of a PS4's GPU, so maybe the added overhead @ 1080p let them hit 60fps? Also the CPU is faster on X so that could be another reason
My Buddy bought ARK on Steam after me, my GF and 3 other friends bought it on Xbox, I rented a server and allowed "Cross Play" option for Windows Gaming, I told him about it and he got refunded through steam since he didn't play at all yet and bought it for Windows and no we all can play! That alone made me appreciate cross play!
Well there is more here than Resolution and Framerate, Pro can handle this game at 4k/30 which is great, even though the X's GPU has the equivalent of a standard PS4 GPU's power separating the Pro and X, there no ceiling after 4k right now and the CPU while faster, is still not enough for 60fps territory.
The Much More Power and what most console only gamers don't realize is the Memory gap, X has an extra 4gb and over 100gb/sec faster RAM which means things lik...
Not something we want... I didn't buy an X after I bought a Pro to have parity. Don't care about the 4k and 30fps since if the Pro can handle it then send it, but some Memory advantages would be nice at least :/
That would be awesome! If so, it would be cool to see her visit the City of Cyberpunk since she talks about visiting there in TW3
Look at the LOD in GTAV, if JC4 can pack that amount of detail in every square mile then it will beat GTA in the immersive category. JC3 is about 5x the size (Landmass not water) than GTA V, and while they both are very comparable in how fun they are just doing whatever, JC worlds have always felt less immersive than GTA's, hopefully JC4 can finally capture that, if so, they would win that category!
Most people don't though... I traded/sold/gave away all my older consoles. Sad to say but my last gen 360 red ringed and my PS3 yellow lighted (Blu-ray drive went out). Im glad neither side is having hardware issues this time around so far!
Awesome! Hopefully we can get a solid 30fps on Xbox!
I have the opposite problem, Bought a Day One X1 in 2013, been playing it, bought a PS4 Pro and an X, beat HZD and GOW and that is literally all I have played on it... I don't regret it though, because Exclusives!
We have seen that both a 4.2tflop and 6tflop GPU can do native 4k, It's really the CPU side that is an issue. So lets say both next gen systems should shoot for 8+tflop GPU, 16gb RAM, and a 16 core 2.5+ghz CPU!
It is still an issue imo, well at least on the Memory side of things. Rarely we see Sharper Textures, Draw Distance and overall LOD on multiplats which is an issue to me. Sure more powerful GPU gives you higher native res and extra graphical bells and whistles over the Pro and the CPU being stronger just makes the 4k frame rate be steady,
But having 4+gb of V-RAM should give us more LOD imo
*$450
Beefier CPU in short, 360 had a 3 General Purpose Dual Cores (6 core) @3.2ghz CPU, PS3 had a 7 single thread core @ 3.2ghz CPU (little more powerful) which both were way over what was really needed since both of the GPU's in the systems were holding the CPU's back.
Now we have the opposite problems, at least on the mid-gen refreshes. Pro and X have beefy GPU's but still under 3.0ghz 8 core CPU's which is why demanding games don't reach 60fps even at 108...
EPIC...
I mean his approach to Sony is king of this generation is making it sound like they are entitled when that is not what got them here
Wow... so since PS4 has the best exclusives and the stronger hardware (PS4, Switch & X1) that makes it ok to be entitled and not offer more value for THEIR customers? This does not benefit MS or Nintendo since they don't get royalties from cross play. This dude is trying to over analyse and justify Sony's decision but at the end of the day the only person it hurts is Sony
Well said, After playing ARK, I don't mind the Grindy part of a game as long as it fits. In ARK, you literally (or I was) are scared to leave the starting point since anything and everything could kill you, so you grind up your resources to craft things and "Evolve" until you can feel comfortable exploring somewhere new and handle smaller creatures, then mid size creatures, etc. and I feel like NMS could use that same formula to keep the Grindy part and exploring aspect more imm...
