The layout on the xbox controller was a design choice, the position of the analogue sticks on the dualshock were as a result of having to fit them on to an existing design.

VR has to have (most importantly) a super high resolution display and spot on tracking.
I've tried a lot of VR tech and Sony has released an amazing budget headset but this is the tip of an expensive iceberg.
If you want really good VR you can't (yet) do it on a budget, but props to Sony for getting us a step closer

Some people really need to understand the actual definition of the word "exclusive". It means " limited to only one person or group of people".
So, if a game's release is limited to Windows PC and XB1 and excludes other platforms then it can quite rightly be labeled as an "exclusive" .
