that's a really good question. but Killzone 2 it's one more game that goes to the list of "PS3 must-have games" that's getting bigger and bigger by the time and soon that will be a great excuse to buy a PS3 and drop the statement about the PS3 not having games.
but the PS3 is the one that has less weakness compared to the others.
X360 has RRoD, no blu-ray, you have to pay to play online, you have advertisments on your menu-interface, it makes too much noise and it is already outdated.
The Wii is a GameCube with a pretty high price for what it has(GC = like $100, X360 = $200). Most of its games are crap, the online is mega sh1t, the graphics are worse than Xbox1, the fancy controller makes most of the games harder to play ...
Because it is a PS3 exclusive and no outdated console(aka X360) will prevent the game from fully utilize the Cell power to reach a new level of detail that the X360 only dreams about. This isn't going to be like the PS3 version of FFXIII that it's being downgraded to be on par with the X360 port.
M$ is ruining this gen. They should release the X720 already... Only fools would buy a new system from them anyway. After the RRoD fiasco only the same fools that bought Vista that will...

The native res of the game is 1280x720p, the other res is a quick fix for those that have 1080i or 1080p displays that don't output 720p.
The install of R2(250mb) only takes like 30 seconds, less than waiting for a game to load on the X360. This is not DMC4 and its massive 25mins 5Gb install!
