Just throwing out a blue moon dream here. Maybe the delays mean they will add the damn multiplayer for Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory. Regardless of whether it has online or not, Ill still get the collection but it would be nice if it did obviously so I can experience the uniqueness of the online.

uh.......that didn't make ANY sense at all. in a worse way then Dr. FUD ( though that guy is kinda right.)

No. That really happened. GTA Chinatown wars was the most critically praised handhled game of 2009 but after all the marketing and praise, it still sold well under expectations. But then think of all the other games on the DS and then think of this. As great as that game was, it was surrounded by kids and families that wouldn't touch that game. So I believe that despite all the greatness that the MGS3DS will be, it just won't do very well.

I would have to say that it may potentially do so. For starters, when has a game involving guns, russians, sex, and WMD's on a nuclear walking battle tank ever be a sales success? You only have to look at GTA CHinatown Wars in 2009 for that answer. That came sold under 100,000 for a whole month despite all the great praise and critical acclaim. Rockstar bailed and re-released it on the PSP. That game sold well over a million units on the PSP

Case in point: It just won'...

Sales number don't exactly mean much. It is the quality of the console and the titles that determines victory. Games that capture the hearts and minds of gamers are what decides success, especially the exclusives as they represent a major player. Take a look at Modern Warfare 2, literally over $ 1 billion worth of sales sold, but the game was bugged, hacked, glitched, and essentially broken. Iron man 2 selling 2 million copies but the game was atrociously bad and the studio shut down. But...

Yea. As a fellow PS3 owner and PSN user, you do. And its been up for 48 hours already with little issue. I think thats satisfaction enough. I played Homefront for several hours last night to with little issue. Seldom lag but that was it.

Same. I jammed to several hours on HomeFront last night and signed in the morning on the East Coast. All is fine.

This is the best news since Seal Team 6 got Bin laden.

The release date for colonial marines, 11/11/11, has been placed there for months. I want to believe this a lot to. And maybe there's a chance. Take a look at Duke Nukem Forever. Makes a surprise appearance at PAX Prime in September and is coming out in June. on that note, if Duke Nukem, TRON Legacy, and Gran Turismo 5 have proved anything, believe. Miracles can happen.

Agreed. IGN and Kotaku all deserve chapter 11 and layoffs with no severance packages, hell just to be removed altogether, after using this outage as a means to spin up articles that fueled flame wars, fed the 360 trolls and bias, made hackers look like heroes, and SOny look bad all in some inane holy crusade to rid the world of the playstation brand (that's their mentality right there.)

OK. How does having paypal automatically make an online gaming service any better? And it may be a more secure form of payment but being that the 360 can be modded and hacked far more easily, yea, it isn't staying secure for long. Some people really do anything for site hits.

How about we not think about new consoles and enjoy what we have now? Let's quit being spoiled. WHen they come, they come.

You're not the only one with this wondering. I can't help but think it to. Or at least, the hacker was some Anti-sony, pro-360 fanboy. Looking at the gaming environment for the past two years, SONY has been a positive freight train moving forward. The quality of the exclusives, the hardware. pricing, deals, the fanbase, nothing but up has been going for the PlayStation brand. The 360 hasn't had a downard trend but im sure that the baffling lack of exclusives this year and the KINE...

On the East coast, USA, it was 9am and my PS3 turned on all on its own for an automatic update. I thought it was a firmware update meaning PSN was up and running. I checked and it was still down. BUT, the start up only happens when a connection is established. I think that may have potentially been a dry run and should be up REAL soon.

Did this happen to anyone else?

I guess waving around a white chocolate plastic candy bar is still fun.

Well, it is a rumor. Rumor's aren't always true. If it really is cancelled, we'll most certainly find out. Hopefully, this is someone just trying to spin web hits and it isn't true. Split Second was one of the most action packed and intense racers I played last year. And most importantly, it was such a new, well executed concept! PURE was fun to. Black Rock really has some unique talent, especially under the Disney license. it would be a shame to see them shut, especially sinc...

Part 2!

Now Multiplayer- this game has something most lack- BALANCE! The game goes by the battlepoint system. As you play (kills, melee, headshots, killstreaks, defense, offense) you get points. THose points go toward unlocking a special weapon and abilities on the battlefield ( you can choose several for each class) and purchase vehicles. When you die and if you have enough points, you can spawn in your vehicle like a tank, APC or attack chopper.

ALl the weapon...
