Nothing has come close to it, and even though I play a lot with friends, I like to just get in and get out sometimes, play for some achievements.

That’s at least another $120 for a decent flat panel but I will be nice and say you got something from the bargain bin a 17in CRT that’s still like $40.

Go to bestbuy you can find the Plextor ConvertX DVR for $129.99 which means my numbers are even better. Plus it encodes straight to DivX, plus it works with the PC, Win2000 & XP so this thing is on point. I might just pick this up!

You still need to have a capture device, so that means that you need a decent video card with RCA or Coax inputs. This also means that your X360 IS NOT A PVR!! Your computer is, and you are actually just using the X360 to stream the content to your TV. That is at lest another $150 for a good video card, plus a computer if you don’t have one. So actually it is cheaper to use the PS3.

By default most users don’t have an HD-DVD drive in there computers. Most have DVD players, something like +95% so it would be stupid to put a game on HD-DVD, and only have a few people able to even load and install the game.

Now I wouldn't use it the conventional way but, I love racing games, and I love playing them with a racing wheel. However the best racing wheel in my opinion is not supported by the X360. Its the "Logitech G25 Racing Wheel". It has real leather, a 6 gear gated shifter, clutch petal, real metal design, and duel motors for force feedback and rumble support. Much better design than the X360 standard Wheel.
Bigger price tag too but I am willing to buy it.

This game looks great and there is plenty of time for improvement on the visual side. Gears looks great too, but there is defiantly some room for improvement. I'm looking at it on a 61" 1080p display so I see everything!! I don't think that it is fair to say that "Gears Sh8ts all over" this game, it's not even out yet. I think that to have an impartial comparison we need to have, exact same footage from both systems on the same games. (RR6 to RR7?) I have both the PS3 and the X360. The truth is that everything doesn’t fit on the 20gb hard drive. When you get your X360 and set it up for the first time you will notice that you have “about” 12gbs left after the setup. Most of this space is taken up by OS information, “about” 7gbs. After that MS throws some demos in (mostly video’s for the premium system) and it takes up about another gig or so.
