Well, I agree in a way. The Source engine is getting fairly old, but Valve do update it each time they make another game and it still generally looks alright.
But yeah, they gotta revamp it at some point I suppose.

On mycrysis.com's forums a crytek staff member said the demo would be allowing people to benchmark the game on their pc (at max settings) to see if their comp can run it.
Disappointed.
It was in a 20 page thread, and mycrysis is very slow atm so I can't look for it right now.
