Did you not read about the NPCs and traders, etc.?
There is more to the game than just "wild life type animals". Not to mention there is also huge space battles, different factions you can side with, and who knows what else considering they are trying to keep a lot of the game and it's features a surprise.

Since the reveal I expected this game to be priced at 60. I have no idea why people expected it to be priced cheaper than that to begin with. It makes no sense.

The amount of work that Sean Murray and his team have put into this game, the sheer scope and everything else in this game put a majority of today's AAA games to shame, and makes this game well worth 60 bucks.

XBox division is alloted a certain amount to spend, they don't have an unlimited pool of money to tap into.
Their division is actually getting less money to spend for XBox due to not so great sales.
