It's always been about games. The difference is that XBox was more expensive, with less graphical quality, and slim pickings on games, and what DID release was either the same old crap, or it was mediocre at best.
So the conversation wasn't just about resolution. So no, it isn't flip flopping as you are trying to insinuate. PS4 being cheaper than the XBox with higher graphical fidelity and more/higher rated games was the issue people had. Use your brain.

I wonder (hope) that Sony decided to do something similar to this, because this is a fantastic idea for MS to do. It is so much nicer too, considering you don't have to stream and can just download the game. This also makes me wonder if it would even be that hard for Sony to change PSNow by making the games available to download instead of stream... you are still sending data, so it shouldn't be that hard to do for Sony.

Just because Creative Assembly is involved, doesn't mean that it's automatically going to be on par with some of their better stuff like Total War, etc.
This IS a Halo RTS, not a new C&C or Star craft. It's a basic, mediocre RTS with Halo.
More and more it feels that their plan is to keep talking and hyping the future of XBox so that they can ignore what's wrong with the present. They keep doing this, hoping that people forget some of their promises, only delivering once in a great while and releasing maybe two mediocre to high rated games around the holidays. Along with them almost hyping last generation games with BC to make customers believe there is tons of games to play.
I feel sorry for any XBox One...
