Come on now. Digital foundry is a great website with educated input on hardware and software. This isn't a big plan to do an ultra. The ps4 pro will compete nicely with the Scorpio for a year or a little less then the ps5 will have all the 4k bells and whistles in 2018 when the market is viable and there are more 4k displays out there. The ps4 pro has a place in the market. Obviously 20 million xbox ones didn't because Microsoft found it necessary to leave 20 Millon perfectly good xbo...
Actually for something to beat what MMS accomplished is a monumental task. NMS, while not the greatest game, or far from it, still achieved something no other game has.
Agree. And when the market catches up for 4k Blu-ray and there's more people with 4k sets that is when the ps5 will be on its way supporting all things 4k out of the box. I am more worried about getting a better gaming experience before I go out and buy 30+ dollar 4k movies (I'll watch thrice times most likely) for my gaming console. To me ps4 pro even without 4k blu ray support is worth the 400 their asking.
Thank you for saying that. I didn't know if I was the only one. I just finally got to DA:I this summer (had a fantastic time) and watching the reveal I saw the same style movements from the character in Andromeda. Still have extremely high hopes and cannot wait to see more!
Why all the disagrees? That was a true statement about cpu over gpu power. Not saying the ps4 pro can't improve open world games. I'm totally getting one. Already sold my ps4 in anticipation to put more towards it
Loved GR1, One of the best PS Plus games in my opinion. Was thinking I'd wait for a price drop on GR2 but this darn trailer earned my day 1! No doubt reviews will be good, deserves to sell well too.
Everyone is awefully focused on this 4k Blu-ray playback issue. I think if I were to compare this to a $399 xbox one S I find as a gamer that the PS4 Pro is a better value. Sony is giving me a better gaming experience and is less worried about me sitting and watching a 4k Blu-ray (which how many 4k blu rays are really out there and including the fact those same people need a 4k tv to go with it). If I only owned a 1080p tv, which is what the large majority are sporting, I am going to get 1080...
Ps3 did cross play. Just saying.
Retailers have to keep bundling them with extra treats to move them out of the store and warehouses. Bundling usually shows the product needs incentive to buy.
That was the biggest surprise out of this meeting for me. Puts not just new but all ps4's on par with the xbox one S.
No, it's the "things" consumers in general should care about. It's misleading advertisments then backtracking when the spotlight begins to back off of your product. Awesome looking console none the less.
People really didn't want to agree with you but what you said is so accurate to how I have felt about the progress of this game. The big one for me was the extravagant "release date" reveal. I don't think you should plan a huge reveal event and party then run back to the studio and announce online that it will be delayed further.
I believe this game has the potential to be one of the most technically advanced games up to this point in time. I want it to succee...
N64 for this guy. It's a wonder that single joystick held up through countless hours of adventuring in Zelda, jumping with Mario, the intense battles in Super Smash Bros, and of course the barrel rolls of Star Fox. Great memories!
P.S. N64 mini for Holiday 2017 or earlier would be greatly appreciated, Nintendo.
If you have not tried VR with motion input than its hard to understand that but once you have that experience you understand VR will be big moving forward.
Yeah Sony will do some adjustments to out spec Xbox. But still really interested to see how this goes. Want more VR news!
Sony won't let their next console be less powerful than what xbox releases. I'm sorry but having the more powerful specs this gen on a similar infrastructure helped Sony alot. Early adopters were aware of the spec differences and Sony will most likely have the more powerful "upgraded" console.
Couldn't agree more. Could see Sony saying 7 TF and 4k and walk away comfortably.
Well if mostly all games on Xbox are going to be Xbox Play Anywhere wouldn't it make more sense to drop the money on a Gaming PC instead of Scorpio which will most likely be priced 599ish. Just wondering what the community thinks. I just sold my xbox because of the amount of Xbox console exclusives going to PC.
Exact same boat as you. The 1080ti will be great I think. I was hoping the 980ti would get the Simultaneous Multi Projection as an update for a little VR boost but probably not. The 1070 is a good card though still and the price won't be ridiculous once it gets down to the MSRP price.
And people still rush out for that new cell phone year after year lol and I'd trust sony on supporting the original ps4 over xbox supporting the xbox one S when the Scorpio comes out. Guess what I'm saying is that I'd feel better going in and buying a new ps4 slim or pro over the xbox one S by how each company is handling long term support now and have in the past.
