Books are great and i love to read. However a medium like gaming has much more potential to create an unforgettable story. With books all you have are the words and your imagination. With games you have facial expressions, music, aesthetics, voices, challenges, choices and much more. The author might be thinking that because it reached further success in the hands of game developers, that he could have reached it himself. If he hadn't sold it, it would not be as successful as it is now....
you never hear men complain about being trash talked online. only women acting like victims. If it's "toxic" and you can't handle it, stay away. I get hateful messages just for beating other players in a game. death threats and all but most gamers take it on the chin and accept that it's the nature of playing competitively against strangers. here's something you may not know. When a game is really good. you kind of don't want it to end. So it being longer is very welcome. Also dragon age was shit.
Witcher 3 did characters better and was longer. That game will always be one of my top favourites. Horizon has such an amazing open world technically, this game is the most impressive thing i've seen in an open world game. Makes my jaw drop and makes photo mode really fun to use.

I find Aloy and many of the characters in Horizon to be quite boring and 1 dimentional. The best character is actually the open world. Amazing work on that. and the gameplay is so fun i just love shooting metal dinosaurs

If you take away uncharted and god of war, you still are left with Horizon zero dawn. Ni-oh. Nier. The last guardian. Hellblade. Death stranding. The Last of Us. The new Spiderman. Days gone. and more. I've not seen much from Microsoft besides that cool looking pirate game no one will end up caring about.
