Whilst you are right in regards to PS3 games, your post has no bearing towards the article that is written, which talks more about PS1 games that we already own on PS3, the Cell is not needed for them.
Not sure why people are disagreeing with @Aenea, he is correct in everything he says >.<
I used to write on a PS3 hacking website called PS3HaX, i posted about it a few times there, as well as including it in my history of the PS3, you can check that out at ps3history.net.
Been writing about this emulator, since it started two years ago...
I really do not care how it looks, if it plays as well as THPS1,2 and 3, it can look like them too, ill still have fun.
People get too caught up in graphics and forget gameplay and fun.
Publishers need to stop being so crazy with DLC and Season Pass's, games were more fun when you had to beat the game to get an extra character or costume, they were more of a challenge.
No it does NOT contain info on how to modify your console, the console is not modified, the console does not get modified.
No XML files get modified either, all you do is ask your PS4 to look at the beta link, instead of the normal firmware link.
LOL "OMG AN OFFICIAL PS4 FIRMWARE IS GOING TO DDoS AND DOX ME AND ANALLY PROBE ME, ALL AT THE SAME TIME"
Sorry KwietStorm i accidentally pressed disagree on your comment >.<
1.) Its not a 'hacking' article, its contains information about installing an official PS4 beta firmware on a PS4, no hacking involved,
2.) It has every right to be here.
3.) The NG4 elites need to stop being so damn anal about 'hacking' sites, as it clouds you judgement and makes you look dumb with your comments.
If you have a backwards compatible PS3, you will be able to run SNES roms on it, you will need a disc called Swap Magic and they are not easy to find.
All PS3's whether hacked or not, can run Blu Ray Java homebrew, though not practical or refined.
3.41 = PS Jailbreak
3.55 = CFW/MFW
3.56 = PS Jailbreak and CFW/MFW patched
3.60 = NEVER HACKED
Also PS3 with PS2 backwards Compatability were able to run PS2 pirate games/backups and PS2 homebrew before the PS Jailbreak was released, in fact they were able to do this not long after the consoles release.
SheenuTheLegend i have been in the 'PS3 Scene' since 2008, i used to write for a ps3 hacking site, now i own my own, if you want to lea...
No, No and No, this does not mean that.
You see this is the problem when a poster add's a misleading title, it confuses or gives false ideas to people.
You are wrong in everything you type :(
1.) It was 3.41 it was hacked on.
2.) It was more like three years nine months that it remained unhacked.
3.) It was firmware 3.56 that blocked the 'Jailbreak'.
4.) This is 'hack' is actually three years old, its just only now being released.
5.) This can be patched quite easily.
It is not quite as simple as that >.<
Thanks for approving the article :)
One note that I forgot to mention is that some games will be Russian language only.

In a way i agree with you, i should have tested the region lock thing, but as PSN works different than valve, and because Russian PSN is part of the EU PSN network, i assumed that it would work.

$10 might not seem a lot for someone living at home with their parents, but its quite a lot for the likes of students or families.
O.o didn't you read the article, there are loads of examples, it even shows that the biggest saving you could get is if you are from the UK
To be honest, the PS4 Camera is not that much fun at the moment also maybe its just my voice, but it has a hard time understanding voice commands.
It doesn't block anything, the firmware was created around August and has nothing to do with the recent exploits.
