you are assuming that magically, games like star wars: unleashed, splinter cell 5 & especially the new halo wars, ninja gaiden 2 and the like won't have the same effect for xbox360.
where as, some of the games already announced for 2008 like lost odyssey, too human, condemned 2 & the banjo 3 series could have an even greater effect on xbox360.....

the problem was they DIDN'T make it a new game on xbox, they ported the code directly over instead of balancing a new exclusive game!!!!
ubi soft did the opposite of konami. they made a SPINOFF GAME exclusive to PS2 that used full advantage of PS2 rather than porting the original SC game over.
the result was huge sales and a very stable framerate, while the metal gear solid port to the xbox had all sorts of problems!!!!
konami did NOT do it right!...
splinter cell 5 is not going to be on ps3, instead it will be more of the same "SPLINTER CELL DOUBLE AGENT" spinoff games that the playstation gets.
just like metal gear solid 4 will never on 360.
the head designer specifically said "No, we have so many crowds in this game that the A.I. for Splinter Cell could never be done on PS3 or elsewhere. Ever!"
