That is the price you pay for being an early adopter of any product.You know that extra value will always be obtained down the line but if you have been anticipating the release of the product and can't wait, then you have no right to complain further down the line if you decided to take the plunge.
I bought PGR3 at the launch of the 360 in 2005 and played that game to death.I only taded the game in 07 for PGR4, which was a game that could not hold a candle to it,s predessesor.
I played GRID at a friends place and was also not impressed.I am keeping an eye on NFS: Shift because it could end up a very good gaming.I hope get to see more at E3.
I seem to be agreeing with you a lot lately.Forza 2 was in my opinion amazing but it lacked a few features that i felt made it shy away from true greatness.
- Removal of the hill climb and point to point tracks was not welcomed.
- Lack of an in car view, especially since PGR3 had it which in my opinion has the most useable in car view of any game created (could post faster laptimes with PGR3's in car view than if you were using an external view).

If you call PDZ average, i can agree with you but Call of Duty 2,Condemned,PGR3,Kameo and Amped were all awesome games at launch. The 360's launch line up was very good.
I have the game and dont really like it as well.It has all the right ingredients in place but somehow i just can't seem to enjoy it. All my friends who have played it love it but as they say "different strokes for different folks".
