I've eaten up the Castlevania games on the DS and I dream about another 2d Metroid. For now, this will do quite nicely. Metroidvania games presses my exploration and empowerment buttons.
When done well enough, the backtracking isn't a bad thing to experience. Coming back to an area that kicked your ass or that you wanted to explore more with new tools at your disposal is a great feeling
I have such a boner for this game. I've played just about every metroidvania game that has existed, I've been psyched for this game since it was announced at E3! I rank this up there with a major 60$ release in terms of my anticipation for it!
At least it's an actual game being released on DSi Ware instead of freaking mario clocks or paid-demos.
I heard that the online multiplayer is ass though. Laggier than Quake 1 before QuakeWorld is what I heard one podcaster say...Ryan Scott maybe?
Wow, I love that art! I've always been a fan of Jhonen's work. I'd love to see a whole game that used his artwork.
This looks pretty damned disgusting. Strange how I'm ok with human blood and gore, but insect gore? No thanks! (vomits in mouth)
Yes it is, and PC as well, I think through Steam.
Playing this one makes me want to play the remake of Secret of Monkey Island. I want to know what to do with that rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle.
I would like to have a good Wii shooter, but this one does not interest me too much. I'm more interested in the upcoming Metroid Prime trilogy bundle as I loved the shooting controls in MP3 and the fact that I'm a bit of a Metroid fanboy. :)
The main reason that I do not finish most of the high-profile games that I own is the fact that real life distracts me away from these virtual worlds. I feel somewhat ashamed to admit that I have not finished the majority of the games that I own, but then I remember that paying my bills matters more.
From what I've seen on various forums, the crashes are rare. But if it does happen, it's pretty persistent. If it happens to you, I'd contact Graffiti Entertainment about it. I'm sure they'll take all claims seriously.
It is made for oldschool RPG fans. If you're not into lots of random encounters, this probably isn't for you.
I'm hoping for a Slimer and Staypufft Marshmellow Man sackboy. Would be sweet to have functioning Proton Pack weapons.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It's just a joke story for what essentially is a non-story. Sony released an image for Ghostbusters content for LittleBigPlanet, that's it. It's meant to be entertaining.
I thought CellFactor was pretty fun. Played the demo on both PS3 and 360. I think more people will be getting it on 360 for obvious reasons. If I know more of my friends picking this game up, I may do so as well!
I'm waiting for the first fatality from this peripheral.
The only gem matching game that I enjoy is Puzzle Quest, because there's more to the game than just the matching of gems. Lots more.
Gem matching is an addicting gameplay type but if there isn't much else to it I just feel like I am wasting my time. If I'm leveling up my character, casting spells, buying equipment and doing quests along side that gem matching gameplay, I feel like I've spent my time a bit better.
I've kinda burnt myself out on JRPGs. They haven't changed significantly in the past 10 years or so. I'm not saying they're bad, just they don't offer much that's new to me. Similar stories, similar gameplay, similar time-sink, etc.
I paid full price for Super Metroid back in the day and loved every second of it.
But that's not necessarily what I mean. I was saying that I'm as excited about this game as most people would be excited over, say, a new Halo game or something.
