A real bummer, because this would have been a great way to revive the franchise, i.e. remind people of the Dragon Age that was before Veilguard, where decisions actually mattered, characters were unique, and dialogue wasn't written to fit in the style of a Marvel movie.
Honestly, EA doesn't even realize how dumb this was. If they remade/remastered the original DAO, it would've been the perfect chance to make a Dragon Age MMO (maybe set in one of the earlier bli...
I understand that this is likely because of tariffs, but this clearly works out well in Nintendo's favor with the timing of the Switch 2's release. The Switch 1 - an 8 year old console - is now $339.99. When someone sees that, and then looks to the Switch 2 for $449.99, they're going to see that it's only an extra $110 for the brand new model. And then, if they read the press release and see that they explicitly state that the Switch 2 could go up in price if it's necessar...
I totally get why people are upset about this, but we should keep in mind how popular mobile gaming is in Japan. The Switch is Japan's best-selling console, and domestic sales have always been a high priority for Nintendo. They're doing this to keep the market dominance in their home market, against mobile gaming, and other handhelds (they're probably keeping in mind the rumors of PS6 having a handheld component, idk). Still, does seem like Nintendo is being Nintendo and giving th...
Can anyone with X confirm this?
BRING BACK SHUHEI-YOSHIDA
Sincerely though, everyone loved Shuhei during the late-PS3 and majority of the PS4 days. He was one of thee faces of Playstation, and did a great job as head of Worldwide Studios. He's been out of the spotlight for the past four years, but he's got all the experience to handle this, and is loved by gamers in ways that his predecessor was not. If there's someone who seems capable for the job, and can restore some of the goodwill that s...
This article is from February, why is it here on N4G again?
I literally laughed out loud at this
I absolutely loved my original PSVR headset, and made some of the best memories playing it with my friends. The only reason I sold it was because setup was such a chore, and accommodating all of the required space could be tough. Learning that this is a single cord setup that doesn't require an additional camera makes this headset so much more accessible, and I'm really excited for it!
Now I just have to actually find a PS5 😅
I second this as someone who has and continues to play far too many hours of this game lol
Launching the game on last gen in the state it was in was a great mistake, and it broke the amazing level of trust people had in them. Which says a lot, because they were regarded by many as the best developer in the industry.
But you'd be a fool to shut the door on them and hope for their failure. I can't believe the amount of people who want to keep them down and who hope they'll never recover after this. There's no goodness in it at all, and nobody benefi...
That's with your refund, friend.
I don't know about the whole "It doesn't look like a major hit" thing. It's had more peak players than Borderlands 2 and 3, The Division or Avengers have ever had. If it's not a major hit, it's pretty close. Here are the Steam metrics for all-time peak players:
Destiny 2 – 292,314
Warframe – 154,246
Outriders – 125,123
Borderlands 2 – 123,596
The Division – 113,877
Borderlands 3 – 93,597

I completely get why people are upset. But it's ridiculous to want a game to fail forever because of past mistakes. That benefits nobody. If CDPR can make the game better, it's only a win for gamers. No loss whatsoever. If CDPR can win back some trust from gamers and can make another game without this kind of controversy, awesome.
Either way, nobody benefits from this game failing. Everybody benefits from it getting better, gamers...
I don't understand why you got down voted. It's like people don't want this game to succeed. Everyone and their mother knows what a trainer wreck of a release this game had, and nobody is trying to dispute that or act like it didn't happen. But who in their right mind wouldn't want a game with so much potential to become the experience we all hoped it would be?
I'm playing at 60fps with a 1080ti with almost everything at ultra at 1080p. I'm so tired of people saying you need a 30 series card to play this game in an enjoyable manner. You don't.
What people are failing to realize is that suits like these are not made to win, they're made to settle. The case isn't being made for the state of the game at launch for consumers, but investors being misled. All in all, with everything CDPR said in their statements and investor calls, specifically in the language they used, there's not enough out there that would make them lose this case. Their bases are probably covered enough for that. But nobody expects them to outright lose....
GTA V does the same thing. When you fly high enough, or view from far away enough, it'll generate the same thing here. Nobody complained there. This game was still developed with current gen in mind, of course it's using that tech. Smh. They messed up horribly bad with release, but looking for reasons to crap on this game is getting old.
I'm glad they aren't taking it off the storefront. The game is unacceptably buggy and CDPR deserve the flak they're getting (and owning up to). People are more than entitled to an expanded refund, and certainly deserve them if they want them. But people should still be able to buy the game at their own risk if they want to. Especially since games like Fallout 76 were never taken off. Let the consumer decide.
I will undoubtedly get hate for this, and I'm alright with that. I'm also going to preface this by saying I'm a Playstation gamer. I've owned a PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS4 Pro, PSP, and Vita. I've never owned a Microsoft console. Cyberpunk is the first triple A game I've ever bought on something other than Playstation first.
CDPR obviously messed up with launching this game in it's current state on last-gen. There is no denying that, and anyone who w...
This is Xbox taking yet another gamble and trying to enter the PC space while also still retaining the "curated experience" you'd get on a traditional console. Essentially, it'll be Microsoft's attempt at a Steam Machine. On the one hand, PC gaming has gone up since Steam Machines, so it's not a baseless idea. On the other hand, Microsofts Windows experience is terrible (see benchmarks for the ROG Ally X, and note how many reviewers have said it launched too early, a...
