They need to if they plan on having a chance of outselling the PS4 in the US.
"and Camping (except in Hardpoint or Capture the Flag) is nearly pointless...it may get you a kill or two, but with the maps being so detailed and accessable, and the camper earning their titan much slower...there really isn't any advantage to doing so...unless you're just intimidated/new and scared to get out there and mix it up."
The same can be said about Call Of Duty. While you're hiding away in a corner, other players are out there getting tons of k...
Camping will ALWAYS be an issue in ANY shooter. You can't stop someone from playing how they want.
Xbox One sales must be extremely behind their projections if they're running these many price drops promotions. I'd even say a little desperate.
That means that inFamous is a bigger system seller than Titanfall. You can't argue with math.
2014
-Skylanders Game (and McDonalds promo deal)
-Destiny launch on Xbox and Playstation consoles. (potentially biggest new IP launch ever)
-Call of Duty 2014 (most creative and ambitious yet according to devs)
I think this will be a great year for Activision and in return, a great year for gamers.
You're wrong. I don't hope that the Xbox One will fail. IT'S ALREADY OFF TO A GOOD START. I'm not delusional, I know that Xbox One will be in stores just as long as the PS4 will. It will just have to settle for second place. That's not my wish, its not my dream. It's already a reality.
NOPE.
COD gameplay is what people love about it.
-They don't need a brand new engine, that would surely have much higher latency than we're used to and might even compromise that 60FPS experience on PS3/360.
-Animations do need an overhaul. You're right about this one. Much improvement can be made here.(The knifing animation in Ghosts is much better than any other COD game)
-Gameplay DOES NOT NEED CHANGE. This is...
Actually that's a flat out lie. They a have never hyped their games as being "the best one yet" or the "most ambitious and creative".
This is the first time they've said something like this. We do have next-gen consoles out there that are selling really well. I'm sure they finally made that leap that we've been asking for for years.
(BTW, people keep buying something because they like it. Weird huh?)
THIS is next-gen.
Interesting.
Well, you already lost.
6 Million + PS4s sold and only 3.5million Xbox Ones.
That's with PS4 having "no gamez". Imagine once PS4 start putting out its AAA exclusives?
Sorry but it's just not going to happen. Multiplatform games sell more consoles than any exclusive ever will. And PS4 has the advantage there.(price/power/performance )
There's no way Microsoft is going to close that gap. In Europe is pretty much already over. In the US though they are putting up a good fight and it's up to Sony if they want to let them win or not.
The JRPG is back baby!
The Souls series is easily the most influential (japanese)IP from the PS3/360 era.
I can't wait to see what they do with future Titanfall games. The potential is definitely there. I would say that Titanfall is already that "3rd" pillar in the FPS genre joining COD and BF.
The Good:
-Xbox One will outsell the PS4 in March in the USA.
The Bad:
-Xbox One already had its biggest release of the year and it only got a 118% increase in sales. It'll be back down to pre-Titanfall numbers in about 4-6 weeks.
TLTR: Good job Microsoft but you still have a lot of catching up to do. Good luck.(you'll need it)
It has everything to do with it. For one, a shooter will always have the advantage. Those game are popular in every single country. inFamous is about a superhero who you choose to be evil or good.
Compare Call Of Duty to Titanfall.
Compare inFamous to Watch Dogs.
Compare Tomb Raider to Uncharted.
This goes for sales or anything else. These are much better comparisons.
Games are't comparable IMO.
Different genre. Different focus (story vs gameplay)...etc.
We don't care.
