You'd be amazed how many people think XBO is the only place to get many of these TV Apps. At the moment it is, but that's because Microsoft payed for a timed-exclusive. Money well spent huh?

Price isn't the problem. If the Wii U was a desirable system, people would buy it, even at $400. If Nintendo 1st party games were desirable, people would buy them, even at $60.
Price cuts will help, but only short-term.

Not surprising at all. The 3 big exclusvies, Ryse/Forza/Dead Rising were all marketed WAY TOO MUCH here in the US and they got decent review scores(except for Ryse).
Take one of those exclusives out and software sales would have been identical to the PS4.

I wonder why Major Nelson or Aaron Greenberg didn't tell us PS4 hardware sales? They told us PS4 software sales and how they're below Xbox One, so why not tell us hardware sales? I now why, its because was only 50k behind in sales while being out of stock everywhere.
I fully expect Xbox One sales to fall off a cliff until Titanfall releases.
PS4 sales were a mere 50k below the Xbox One in December for the US....and that's with supply issues.

No, they didn't. You know what makes it easier for developers to develop games? Removing limits. Having more than 2 GB of slow DDR3 RAM. Getting rid of the EDRAM. Having a fast multi-core CPU that isn't weaker than the PS3/360 in some areas and having a GPU that won't be outdated once your competitors release their consoles.
