i reckon streaming from the ps4 could be the big hit for the vita (yet some are already claiming it's too laggy). indie games etc won't do squat for it imo, if anything it'll bring it into line with phones & tablets for consumers instead of being a standout serious portable gaming system.
truly, it NEEDS (or should i say 'needed') exclusives for it to be a real contender.
for me, games like that (along with shift 2 etc) are great to just let off some steam. but to hold my personal long term interest, it has to have a great sense of realism, not just from graphics, sounds etc, but in the way the cars feel, perform & behave.
Given you've probably never played Forza 5 it gives your comment a lot of credit.
Forza 5 looking terrific.
Gran Turismo 6 looking same same.
Drive Club having jaggies ?
Appears the X1 might be the hottest spot for racing sims, particularly with those new modular wheels from MadCatz announced.
major win for aus !!!!
i don't even want to speak to you.
sucks so much that as women invade our digital downtime, we see less & less of the 'booth-babe' us male gamers crave at these events =(
yeah x1 is deffo confirmed for eb expo & PLAYABLE FOR PUBLIC =)
having ps4 there as well would REALLY make the show, but no word or rumors about that atm.
any chance you can share how you guys got the game going on your aussie xbox (since it was banned here) ? one of my mates it dying to play it, but can't figure out how to. thanks.
my guess is MS thinks that people will pay more for their console because it's bigger than anything else on the market.
reminds me a lot of the PS2 or PS2 slim for some reason. not sure i'm sold on the look of it, not that i really care how it looks, so long as it doesn't get YLOD or any other colour !
really good bit of insight on how the other half of competitive gamers live. top stuff.
had the PC version been non-existent, i still would've found the shortcomings in BF3 too great to continue play it.
obviously everyone will have differing opinions. but BF3 simply doesn't feel like a polished, current day release. it feels like a game that would've come out in the early days on PS3, or even just a beta.
i can only go by history here. BF3 is terrible on console, but on PC it's brilliant. may as well not even share the same name across the platforms.
without doubt BF4 will be awful on console as BF3 is, as the present consoles simply aren't up to spec.
right now, console gamers are better off playing games that are made for &/or optimised for console (ie. CALL OF DUTY), instead of badly ported PC games, released on console just to get the easy do...
will be so epic on PC, so horrible on console =(

i'm a massive fan of uncharted & much of what i've read about tomb raider has been critical about it being like uncharted.
1. tomb raider has been around a lot longer than uncharted.
2. how can being similar to one of the best games/gaming series around be a bad thing.
still haven't played tomb raider, but it's on my hit list =)
been really enjoying the last couple of seasons of league play. still can't get over how they left akimbo & shotguns in it though.
of course they won't give you the game if you don't agree to their terms.
pretty wánky article tbh.
real shame to read that the AI of the opposition cars is still terrible. have been on the fence in buying GT6 after being really excited to get GT5 & i still think i'm going to pass. wish they had something like the drivatar to improve it.
